Hi
Here below is something written by our daughter Becky...

~ESTHER ANOINTING~
I have been studying the book of Esther and would like to share something from the book and what the Lord has spoken to me about it.
Key Verse:
Esther 4:16:
"Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me.
Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
After reading the book of Esther, I have come to strongly believe that God wants us to be the Esther-generation. Joshua-generation, you have heard. Surprised are you? Let me expound.
In that one verse, Esther made history. She fasted, prayed and ventured to do that which was never done before. She stepped into the unconventional and dared to do that which would lay her very life on the line. Let me line a few things we can learn from Esther just by reading that one verse:
• She was a woman of prayer. How many of us pray before we go for important meetings? How many of us ask others in our fellowship to pray for us when we make important choices? The Lord is calling us to be a people of prayer who will seek His face before we make any important choices in our life. Even before we take steps that seems drastic and risky.
• Esther did not pray alone. She mobilized as many people as
possible to join her in prayer. When was the last time we were a part of a massive prayer chain that changed history almost instantaneously? Something to think about! Corporate prayer can change the fate of a nation destined to die. Its time we start praying in groups for people around us that we know are on their way to death, people that are dying everyday to drugs, sexual abuse, alcohol, pride, false religion, fake spirituality, etc.
•Esther and her mates fasted and prayed.
Fasting. It is congruent to miraculous and unnatural happenings. Fasting can move the Hand of God. Giving up stuff that we fancy doing and praying
earnestly can kick- start a series of divinely orchestrated events that defy human logic. God wants us to start getting serious with fasting and praying. He knows that is the key to getting to places that we have never been before. Even before Esther found favour in sight of the earthly king, she had already won the heart of her heavenly King through her commitment and fortitude. So could we.
God's favour always precedes man's favour and the thing that precedes both of these is, of course, fasting and prayer.
• "When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is
against the law. And if I perish, I perish". I don't know what you think when you read those lines but I am challenged to get up and go do something life changing! They seem like lines straight out of an adventure novel. In this one line, Esther summed up what a Christian's attitude should be like today. She demonstrated a steely-eyed courage caring less for her own life but more for the work of God and she ventured to do that which was forbidden by man. The natural law did not intimidate her, norms did not frustrate her, and written facts did not deter her. She knew a God who surpassed the natural and dwelt in the realm of the supernatural and she found it simpler to believe and trust in Him. I believe the Lord is specifically calling us to stand up and say that which was never said in public before and do that which was never imagined before.
Often, the choices we make may seem outrageous and not even `right' or `lawful'. But who ever made history by living according to man made law and standard? Those who have been remembered as `courageous' are those who have dared to break the `law' and do the impossible. My friend, God has called us to not be ashamed of the stand that we take. He has called us to boldly speak up and once we take the step, He will divinely grant favour in the sight of the most `difficult' people. Many of us are in crisis today because we fear `authority' and believe that we must `submit at all times'.
However, God is calling us to be the Esther-generation. With fasting and prayer, when we approach people we fear and people who hold our `fate' in their hands; we will see God grant us uncommon favour in their eyes.
May the Lord bless you and may you be challenged to live an exceptional life!
I pray that God will give us an Esther anointing, so that we can impact this world just by being intimate with the King!
Be blessed!
BECKY.
