Just read this word 'middle ground' some place and that made me think.
There's no middle ground...and this is a reality!
Middle ground is a compromising position.
One either belongs to GOD, walks in His Narrow way and obey HIM or one is against Him..
With God it's either White or Black there's no gray areas.
To God a lie is a lie and a sugar coated lie does not become the truth.
Psalm 56:13
For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Sometimes we compromise on our commitment with God by living in the KINGDOM OF LIGHT and flirting with the WORLD.
Num 25:1," While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women,
2 who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods. 3 So Israel joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor. And the Lord's anger burned against them. "
It started in sexual immorality and ended up attending local feasts and Idol worship.
The Bible warns against sexual immorality and asks us to flee from Idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10
8 "We should not commit sexual immorality..."
14 Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.
Compromise comes in inches so let us be watchful where we stand.
We can't stand for long with one leg in the KINGDOM OF LIGHT calling ourselves 'Children of God' the other in the enemy's camp, enjoying the works of darkness.
This is the Most dangerous place to be in..so be on guard.
Ephesians 5:8
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
As 'Children of the Kingdom of Light' we should reflect Christ to others. The 'Fruit of the Spirit' should be evident in us.
We can venture into the enemy's territory to get back what the enemy stole from us but cannot go to our old neighbourhood to have a peek at our old hangouts and taste a bit of the past pleasures then Satan will trap us as he's waiting to make a child of God yield to his temptations.
Today we need to choose who we serve.
Can we boldly say what Joshua said?
"AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD."
We can't stand for long in the middle pleasing the WORLD and GOD.
One needs to make sure he/she is on the right side. One has to make sure he/ she's walking on the narrow road that leads to heaven.
Let's make the right choices today.
Need to step off the fence, cross over from the Middle ground into the 'Kingdom of Light' and walk the narrow path.
Colossians 1:12
"...giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light."
Let's grow in fellowship and love our brothers and sisters.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Let Christ's love always rule and reign in our hearts.His love helps us to reach out to the 'lost' and love even those we find hard to love.
1 John 2: 9-10
Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.
Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.
Tomorrow may be too late.
Do all you can to serve the Lord today.
Let's keep serving our Lord no matter what. Let us not allow unjust criticism about our work or ministry get you down or force us to quit! The Lord is pleased by service done from a willing, true heart and the desire to honor Him. God notices our every effort to spread His Word and love to the lost and hurting.
It's OK if people around do not see what we do, misunderstand our motives, fail to see our heart because our reward is in Abba Father's hands.
He's our Judge and Rewarder!!
It's what He thinks about us that really matters.
Let's be faithful soldiers who will be faithful to our commanding officer, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Our Enemy is Satan and his spiritual forces of darkness.
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Our flag is LOVE,
Philippians 2:1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
Our music is Worship,
2 Chronicles 20:21
21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:
"Give thanks to the LORD,
for his love endures forever."
Our strength is the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 5:18
"...Instead, be filled with the Spirit."
Acts 1:8
8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
Our Weapon is God's Word.
