WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

DO YOU REAP what YOU SOW?? YEPPERS YOU DO !~copyright@2007 john chappell

  From another ministry..

Pastor Owen

Why do Bad Things Happen to Us?

do ya reap what ya sow?? yeppers ya do !

"The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10)."

"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come . . . Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Proverbs 26:2, Galatians 6:7-7)."

We Reap What We Sow

In the world this is known as "cause and effect." There is a reason or cause for everything that happens, whether good or bad.
We reap what we sow—either good or bad.

Satan is looking for an open door through which to bring sicknesses, accidents, and other trials into our lives.
He can do us no harm without an opening.
Let's find these open doors and close them.
Is it our Sin That Opens the Door for Satan to put Sickness, accidents, financial challenges, and other trials upon us and even our children?
If it is sin, Lord, we surely want to know!
Let's See What The Bible Says About Sin

"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2)."

"Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted (Psalms 107:17)."

"Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death (James 1:15)."

" . . . For if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. . . For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Romans 6, 13, 14)."

"For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life (Galatians 6:8)."

Jesus said, "For God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death (Matthew 15:4)."

Wow! We had better forgive and honor our parents!

"For the wages of sin is death (and sickness), but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23)."

"If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are . . . He that committeth fornication (or adultery) sinneth against his own body (ICorinthians 3:17, and 6:18-19)."

This also includes pornography in all of its forms!
According to the above scriptures (and many others) it is because of sin that sickness, accidents and/or death come to us and/or our loved ones.
It opens the door for Satan to attack us! Attempting to deny our sins imprisons us in them. We must repent for each of them.
To be fully protected from the result of sin, each of us must search our hearts and repent of every sin the holy spirit brings to our mind, particularly the ones below

1. The Sin of not putting God first (Lukewarmness).

This is the root of many of these other sins. Let's each of us search our hearts and repent.
Signs of lukewarmness:
a) No daily prayer or quiet time with the Lord
b) Not studying and meditating on the Word of God c) Failing to pay your tithes and to give generous offerings)
c) Wrong priorities: Is our focus on prayer, the Word, church, and God's desires, or on television, sports, the newspaper, making money, and mostly our desires.
d) Do we love our children, our spouse, money or other things more than God. This is known as the sin of Idolatry.

2. The Sin of unforgiveness.

Do you deeply resent, even hate someone or do you still feel deeply wounded by someone who has hurt you, disappointed you, or rejected you?
Most of us do!
Make a list of them now, forgive them and let the resentments go.
 You can do it.
We must do it to be healed and/or to stay healed. We need to repent of the sins of unrealistic expectations of ourselves, our loved ones, our friends, and "yes", our pastor and other church leaders.

3 The sin of self-rejection or self-hatred.

You must love yourself.
It is God's command!
This is a major root cause of auto-immune diseases, including Arthritis, Lupus, Krone's disease, and MS.

4 The sins of grumbling, complaining, critical and negative words or thoughts.

We complain because we don't believe God's promises to us.

"There is death (physical, emotional, spiritual and financial death) and life in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21)."

Complaining can be deeply hidden.
A complaining or critical spirit opens the door for Satan to attack us in many areas.
Thousands of the Israelites were destroyed in the wilderness because of complaining. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart. Print from my web site, "You Can Overcome Depression, Fear, Anger and Stress in Twenty-One Days.

5. The sin of sexual lust.

Impure sexual thoughts, words, and/or actions are counterfeits of the holiness of marital sex, and are major sins in the Body of Christ. The marriage bed is holy. It is anointed and godly to have a fulfilling passionate sexual oneness in marriage, but outside of marriage sex is a death-sickness producing sin—even in out thought-life!
6 The sin of not paying our tithes (10%) and not giving generous Holy Spirit directed offerings.
See Malachi 3:8-11. This "sin" opens the door to the next sin.

7 .The sins of lusting for money and power (control), including all forms of lying, stealing, cheating (such as on our income tax), and even over-spending!

"For the love of money is the root of all evil ... (1 Titus 6:10)."

The sins of the love of money and power intertwine negatively with sexual lust!

8 The sins of procrastination, disobedience, and rebellion.

9 Sins of unbelief.

1) Never pray, "If it be His will, God will heal me, protect me, or meet my financial needs."
It is His will.
2) Stating that God is "going to heal me" is future tense and is therefore hope not faith.
Faith is not next month, next week or even tomorrow. Faith is now. Faith looks back at the cross, and brings the healing or other promises into the "now." Boldly confess,
"By JESUS' stripes I am healed."
We must confess that we are already healed, not that "I am going to be healed."

10 The sin of all forms of gambling, including lotteries.!!

11 The sins of poor eating (and drinking habits) habits, including overeating, alcohol, drugs, smoking, and other addictive sins, and lack of adequate exercise.

12 The sin of dishonoring our parents.

Jesus confirmed the importance of this in

Matthew 15:4, "For God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death."

This dishonoring can be from unrepented criticism of your parent(s) as a child or in later life.
It can be from withholding love or other forms of godly support.

13 The sin of dishonoring our Marriage Partner.

"Ye husbands ... give honor unto the woman ... that your prayers be not hindered (1 Peter 3:7)."

How do we honor our wives?
The Word tells us in

Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it."

We must "lay down" our pride and selfishness and be servant-leaders in our relationship with our wives. We must avoid all forms of abuse, verbal, mental, financial, and sexual. We must love and protect her. The wife must show respect and have a submissive attitude in connection with her husband's headship.

14 Generational sins.

First we must repent deeply for our own sins!
Then deeply forgive one's mother and dad.
Next in Jesus Name renounce and repent for the generational sins with great authority.
See yourself behind the cross and your four generations in front of the cross.
Thank Jesus for taking the curses upon Himself. Confess the sins of your family line (unto the third and fourth generation), and ask God to forgive them.

15 Sins of Omission, including not doing adequate spiritual warfare to protect ourselves and our loved ones. "Pleading the Blood" of Jesus means to appropriate, apply, declare, proclaim, and put our trust in the completed work of His shed Blood.

However you decide to "word it," let's "plead the blood of Jesus" over all of our family members at least twice a day (and let's do it from the Third Heaven, "seated in heavenly places in Christ").

16 Through Television, movies, and the internet, evil spirits of sexual lust, perversion, violence, greed, dishonesty, and even witchcraft can enter our home, us, and our loved ones!

Allowing this is a major sin that needs to be repented of.
Repentance is more than asking for God's forgiveness.
It includes changing our habits and our thinking. It is a major key to prosperity in every area of our lives, including protection for us and our family, our healing, our finances, and for our spiritual growth. God's plan for our lives is prosperity in every area.
So with excitement let's discover the sins we are committing, repent and expect an open heaven to be over our lives.
God's favor will "surround you like a shield. You will be praying with a new God-given authority.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33)."
