"How many things the Lord desires to do, yet He does not perform them because His people do not pray. He will wait until men agree with Him and then He will work"~Watchman Nee "Let us Pray"
"Prayerlessness in manifested by no praying at all or too little praying."
But God's Word says pray without ceasing.
Let's make prayer our priority. Every true revival began with prayer. R.A. Torrey writes of Jonathan Edwards (The Great Awakening) that he, " so laboured in prayer that he wore the hard wooden boards into grooves where his knees pressed so often and so long.."
When was the last time we knelt down before God in prayer...?
When was the last time we stood in the gap and interceded for others...?
Daniel 6:10Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.
(WOW!!! This was his custom since early days..PRAISE GOD!!)
Luke 22:41
And He(Jesus) was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,
Luke 6:12
Now it came to pass in those days that He (Jesus) went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
O Lord...bring us to our knees....
Teach us to pray....
In Jesus Name
Amen
