WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

HONOR

Hi....

God expects we love and honor Him and also wants us to honor every authority over us.
Here below (in Blue) are notes compiled from a friend's notes:
Quote>>God's word say's,

Romans 13:1"Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God."

Commentary:
•.¸¸. be subject. This Greek word was used of a soldier's absolute obedience to his superior officer.
[Scripture makes one exception to this command: when obedience to civil authority would require disobedience to God's Word (Ex. 1:17; Dan. 3:16-18; 6:7, 10; see notes on Acts 4:19, 20; 5:28, 29).] Daniel obeyed God and God shut the mouth of the lion, Daniel did not bad mouth the king.
•.¸¸. governing authorities. Every position of civil authority without regard to competency, morality, reasonableness, or any other caveat (1 Thess. 4:11, 12; 1 Tim. 2:1, 2; Titus 3:1, 2).

•.¸¸.  there is no authority except from God.
Since He alone is the sovereign ruler of the universe (Ps. 62:11; 103:19; 1 Tim. 6:15),
God has instituted 4 authorities on earth:
•.¸¸. 1) the government over all citizens;
We are to cooperate with those authority figures and obey the local and federal laws of the land (within the boundaries of God's laws). According to scripture, secular authority is intended to be a "minister of God for our good" (Rom. 13:1-4), and serves God's purpose of keeping law and order on the earth (1 Pet. 2:14-15). Again, Paul wrote, "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the King, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right" (1 Pet. 2:13-14 NIV).
•.¸¸. 2) church leadership over all believers;
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord, this means that He

becomes our "boss" and highest authority over our whole life (Rom. 10:9, Luke 6:46, Matt. 28:18). Christians are to submit to the headship of Christ, implemented through (a) leadership of His
Spirit (Rom. 8:14), (b) the authority of His Word (2 Tim. 3:16), and (c) the authorities of the church (Matt. 18:17-20, 1 Cor. 5:4-5, Heb. 13:7,17).
•.¸¸.  3) the parents over all children;
Children are to obey their parents (Eph. 6:10). The wife is tocorperate with her husband, which is the head of the family (Eph. 5:22-24, 1 Tim. 2:12), and the husband is to submit himself to Christ and love his wife (Eph. 5:23,25). God has established these as the "delegated" extensions of His authority. If we resist cooperation, we are in effect, resisting God's own authority and Lordship. This is why Paul even told wives to submit to the authority of their husbands "as unto the Lord" (Eph. 5:22).
•.¸¸.4) the masters over all employees.

May we submit to our employers as unto the Lord.
~~appointed. Human government's authority derives from and is defined by God. He instituted human government to reward good and to restrain sin in an evil, fallen world.

 Romans 13:2 "Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves."

If anyone in Authority is not walking in alignment with the Word of God, is corrupt it's not for us to judge, God surely will. But let's always stand for righteousness. It's God who promotes one and brings down another!

Job 34:24"Without inquiry he shatters the mighty and sets up others in their place.

  We need to pray for all men and for those in authority whether good or bad. Help us to pray and not complain!
1 Timothy 2 (Pray for All Men)1 "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence."
But what if we don't like our Prime minister, President, leader, police official?
We are still to pray for them. Because every Civil authority is clearly delegated by and answerable to God.
Jesus taught that we are to:
“Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s” (Matthew 22:21).

Are all these human authorities perfect?

Far from it!

There are rulers like Pharaoh of Egypt, Nebuchadnezzar who were against God's people but used by God to bring glory to His name. In every kind of authority there are those who walk in disobedience. But can we shake our fists against them?
That's God's job let him do that.
Deut 32:35 ‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, in due time their foot will slip; For the day of their calamity is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.’

Psalm 73:18-20 “Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down to destruction. 19 How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors! 20 Like a dream when one awakes, O Lord, when aroused, You will despise their form.”
And we know that the only time we can stand up and disobey is when we ought to obey God rather than men.
If the government passes a law that commands us to disobey God or decrees that we must not serve God, then and only then do we have the mandate to disobey! This is what Daniel's 3 friend's did!

Let's choose to obey God. and we God children are to humble ourselves and pray...

2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Be blessed..

1 Peter 2:13-25
New King James Version (NKJV)
Submission to Government
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Submission to Masters

18 Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. 19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us,[a] leaving us[b] an example, that you should follow His steps:
22 “ Who committed no sin,
  Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;[c]
