Daniel lived in Babylon(a pagan Nation) but chose not to defile himself.
Daniel 1:8 "But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way."
Daniel was a busy politician, was made ruler over the entire province of Babylon.
Daniel never compromised on his prayer time. Even at the face of death threat, availability of no modern day gadget or transport, where ever he was. he went home, knelt down and prayed three times a day.
Daniel 6:10"Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days."
(WOW!!! This was his custom since early days..PRAISE GOD!)
His commitment to God was above everything else.
