Sometimes we think that believing in God will shield us from calamity, loss, pain and when we go thro' such times we question God's goodness, His justice and cry out to God like David, "For You are the God of my strength, why have You rejected me? Why have you forgotten me?"(Psalm 43:2/Psalm 42:9).
But though David's soul was in despair and he was disturbed, he chose to hope in God! He knew God will lift him up!
When Job lost everything dear to him and was brought to the ground, he did not curse God.
Someone said,"When we have nothing left but God, God is more than enough!"
Job and David knew their God will not test them beyond what they could bear.
What would we do when and where would we stand if everything that we held on to was slowly taken away?
Would we still praise God?
Be joyful?
Be at peace?
Let us choose to trust God thro' the most difficult times, in the darkness so that we can rejoice at the victory the dawn will bring!
Hold on ....
