WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

~We are Christ's Ambassadors~

Just wanted to share something.
If Jesus Christ is our Savior, we are 'Christ's  Ambassadors'
 2 COR 5:18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
So, we have to carry God's message to this world!
Why should we carry God's message?
1) It's a command and a Commission!
Mat 28: 16 -28
Acts 1:8 8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
2)  Others in darkness need to know the good news of Salvation. We are to be their 'Light'.
Is it an easy job?
No it's not always easy...it's risky & hard at times .
1)We'll be hated by some.
 John 15: 18"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
2)We'll be punished unjustly
1 Peter 4:16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.1 1 Peter 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
Is it a rewarding job?
DEFINITELY!
Every single soul is precious to Jesus! There's great rejoicing and celebration in heaven when one soul turns to Jesus.
How can we tell others?
1) By our Personal life:
Most of the time people at home, workplace, Schools, Colleges, neighbourhood, our friends etc may not listen to all we say but will definitely watch how we live. Our Godly life will speak better than words.
As someone once said 'We are the 5th Gospel'.
Let's  be the 'light' & 'salt' God calls us to be!
Light removes darkness & gives warmth!
Salt is a preservative & we too can protect the people around us from being wasted away in sin!
So let's not pressurize people but live out our faith!
 1 Pet 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
2) By Persuasion :
We need to lovingly persuade and help people accept the truth.
2 Corinthians 5:11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.
Jesus never forced people but challenged them by presenting the truth.
Even Paul reasoned and persuaded by explaining and proving the Gospel.
 Acts 17: 2 As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3explaining and proving that the Christ[a] had to suffer and rise from the dead. "This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ,[b]" he said. 4Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and not a few prominent women.
Let's not get into argument with people who just want to have fun but when people do have genuine doubts clear them!
3) By Proclamation:
We can tell others what God has done in our lives. We are all called to be witnesses! ( John 1: 40-42/ Luke 12:8,9)
John 1: 40Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. 41The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). 42And he brought him to Jesus.
      Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter).
We all cannot be like Simon Peter who brought more than 3ooo people to the Lord on Pentecost day but I'm sure we all can be like Andrew bringing one soul at a time to Jesus.
4)By Demonstrating the power of God:
In Acts 3 we see the disciples do many miracles in the NAME OF JESUS and also explain who did it.
Miracles arouse interest. When people see or receive a healing or miracle they want to know how & who healed them! That gives us an excellent opportunity to minister to them. God has given His Children the authority.
Mark 16: 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
5)By Prayer:
Prayer can work wonders! We can pray for the lost souls around.
We should pray for the unbelievers around us, pray for God to use us & also for great spiritual revival to sweep the Nations of this earth!
Isn't it great to know we are Christ's Ambassadors?
Come on let's report for duty, the Lord's waiting to send us!
It's wonderful to remember that our Lord is no more in the grave but is ALIVE! HE'S A RISEN SAVIOUR!
God Bless you all!

Julie

Pray this year ends well....

Hi friends, brothers and sisters,
I pray this year ends well for each of us. Pray the Lord will help us forgive those who hurt us, forget the pain that came our way, say sorry to those we hurt.
It's sad precious, vital relationships on earth end over misunderstanding, lack of communication, ego, pride and refusing to hear the truth.
If only they had taken time to find out the truth, spend quality time with each other and understand many relationships will stay on!
If people are really valued a relationship they sure would take time to mend, build and heal broken relationships.
If the friendships and relationships we
share with each other has been good, meaningful, Christ-centered, why would  misunderstandings, disagreements wipe out all the good memories?
Christ's love in our hearts should sure  help us love at all times.
Prov 17:17 says, " A friend loves at all times,"
I know it takes a lot of understanding, trust and time,to build a strong relationship with our spouse, kids and friends. And if our relationship is based on Christ we sure will not call it quits when the going gets tough.
What kind of a relationship we are in with the ones we love?
 'The greatest evidence of genuine friendship or relationship is loyalty (loving at all times).
True Godly love, as said in
1 CORINTHIANS 13:7"It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres."
One thing I've learnt, in any relationship we should have a genuine desire to give, with minimal expectations to receive.

Someone said, "Life does-not give us people we want; instead it gives us people we need, to love us, to hurt us but finally to make us exactly how God wants us to be."
People in our lives are precious let's value them.
                Every relationship on earth, helps us to learn more lessons and make us stronger individuals.
Any relationships that are Christ based, never dies.
 If a relationship was true God can restore it.
Are you struggling in a relationship with your kid, sibling, spouse, parents, friends?
Lost a loved one to misunderstanding?
Don't give up hope. Our Heavenly Father, is a God of restoration.
" Trust the Lord your God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)
JESUS helps to build bridges and not walls.
He gives live and life abundant.
When we have a misunderstanding with a loved one, let's reach out and try to find out what the truth is. Let us be willing to talk and listen.
Let's be willing to be transparent and open in relationships we value.
If we judge without knowing the truth and choose to walk away angrily without a word, we will end up loosing valuable relationships.
Let's pray the Lord's love will always rule and reign in our hearts.
Let's not give up on people who fail to understand us. Let's be willing to say "Sorry" when we hurt people.
Let's always keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ and let us seek His help to remove all anger and resentment from our midst us.
PSALM 133: 1 How good and pleasant it is
       when brothers live together in unity!
 2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
       running down on the beard,
       running down on Aaron's beard,
       down upon the collar of his robes.

 3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
       were falling on Mount Zion.
       For there the LORD bestows his blessing,
       even life forevermore.
David states here that unity is pleasant and precious.
It takes years to build a valuable relationship. Let's not allow disagreement, misunderstandings break the unity.
We believers are called to live in unity. Unity does not mean we have to agree on everything but it's learning to walk together and helping each other.
YSIC,
Julie
Something I read that blessed me:
True love/friendship gives without expecting anything...in return.
It's letting go of all expectation.
It's building bridges and not walls.
It's speaking the truth in love.
It's never lost by loving..but by holding back.
And...
True love/friendship...
Is not how you forget but how you forgive...
Is not how you listen but how you understand...
Is not how you see but how you feel..
Is not how to let go of it but how you hold on to it,
Is not the urge to shut away but keeping your heart open.
JESUS YOU ARE MY  BEST FRIEND WHO'S ALWAYS TRUE!
"Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve
your blessings in stone."

~Deliverance Prayer~(Author Unknown)

~~Deliverance Prayer for ----

If the person for whom you are interceding has not confessed Jesus as Savior and Lord, pray specifically for his/her salvation if you have not already done so. Stand and thank the Father that it is done in the name of Jesus. Then pray the following:(Put the name of the person you are praying for in the blanks)

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come boldly to Your throne of grace and present ----- before You. I stand in the gap and intercede in behalf of ----- knowing that the Holy Spirit within me takes hold together with me against the evils that would attempt and hold ----- in bondage.

I unwrap ----- from the bonds of wickedness with my prayers and take my shield of faith and quench every fiery dart of the adversary that would come against ----- in Jesus name.

Father, You say that whatever I bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. You say for me to cast out demons in the name of Jesus.

I speak to you Satan, and to the principalities, the powers, the rulers of the darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places and the demonic spirits of depression, confusion, manipulation, doubt, lust, hatred, lies assigned to ------ and I take authority over you and bind you away from ----- in the mighty name of Jesus. You loose ------ and let him go free in the mighty name of Jesus.

I demand that you desist in your maneuvers now, Satan, you are spoiled and defeated.

You have no authority to take hold a child of God. You must release ------ and bow to the blood of Jesus Christ!

Ministering spirits of God, you go forth in the name of Jesus and provide the necessary help to and assistance for ----- to be released.

Father, I have laid hold of ------'s salvation and his confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

I speak of things that are not as though they were, for I choose to look at the unseen the eternal things of God. I say that Satan shall not get an advantage over -----=: for I am not ignorant of Satan's devices.

I resist Satan and he has to run in terror from ------ in the name of Jesus. I give Satan no place in -------. I plead the blood of the Jesus over ------ for Satan and his cohorts are overcome by the blood and Your Word.

I thank You, Father, that I tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy in ------'s behalf.

------ is delivered from this present evil world. He is delivered from the powers of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of Jesus!

Father, I ask You now to fill those vacant places within ------ with Your redemption, Your Word, Your love, Your wisdom, Your righteousness,and Your revelation knowledge in the name of Jesus.

I thank You, Father, that ------ is redeemed by the blood of Jesus and out of the hands of Satan.

He is justified and made righteous by the blood of Jesus and belongs to You spirit, mind, soul, and body.

I thank You that every enslaving yoke is broken, for he will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power in the name of Jesus.

------ has escaped the snare of the devil who has held him captive and henceforth does Your will,Father, which is to glorify You in his spirit, mind, soul, and body.

Thank You, Father, that Jesus was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil. Satan's works are destroyed in ------'s life in the name of Jesus.

Hallelujah! ------ walks in the Kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit! Praise the Lord!
amen and amen in Jesus name amen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once this prayer has been prayed, thank the Father that Satan and his cohorts are bound. Stand firm, fixed, immovable, and steadfast on your confessions of faith as you intercede on this person's behalf for greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1John 4:4).
~Four Things About The God Kind Of Love~By: Vijay Martis
Hi,
Praise God,
Sharing with you all an article written by a fellow brother in Christ, Vijay Martis (Mumbai)
Be Blessed
YSIC,
Julia
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Four Things About The God Kind Of Love
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Vijay Martis
“And You saw me when You took a crown of thorns
And Your blood washed over me.
And You loved me through the nails that You bore
And Your blood washes over me.”
- Hillsong ‘You saw me’
From the look on his face I could see that he was hurting. Badly. As we sat there and talked, I learnt his faith was not in question; he still adored His Saviour, having already been through the fires of persecution when he became a Christian.
And it also wasn’t about the job he just lost. A new job he could always get. It was about something a whole lot deeper. It was about living the Christian life the Lord has commanded us to live in Matthew 5-7. Authentically and from the inside out.
We talked some more. I spoke about letting go, but he honestly felt love was a mountain he couldn’t scale just right now. I knew that wasn’t true, because the Lord would never ask us to do something we couldn’t do (1 John 5:3, Phil 4:13). It’s only tough when we try to do it in our own strength.
Still I admired his honesty. And knew that if he could keep himself open to God, he’d find his way back into the light (1 John 2:10).  For the love is there (2 Tim. 1:7), it’s already been poured out into our spirits  (Rom. 5:5), and will manifest itself as we renew our minds (Rom. 12:2), deny the self  (Luke 9:23) and walk in the Spirit (Gal. 5:25)
Which is what the rest of the article is all about – the practical, effective, everyday outworking of this Love in our lives. For we’ve all heard enough sermons pounded from pulpits on the need to love, which in the absence of a clear ‘how-to-go-about-it’ is about as helpful as being asked to lift a 300 pound Gorilla! C. S. Lewis got it right when he said, "Everyone says forgiveness is a wonderful idea until they have something to forgive".
But first let’s take a look at what ‘Agape’ the God kind of love really is. There are plenty of definitions but I prefer it the way Joseph F. Manning puts it. You’d find this towards the end of his delightful book, ‘The Miracle of Agape Love.’ He begins with describing human ways of loving such as:
“I love you because you love me.” – conditional love
“I love you because I want you to love me.” – barter love
“I love you now because you once showed me love.” – law of return love
“I love you because you are attractive.” – physical love
“I love you because you agree with me.” – social love
“I love you because it’s the religious thing to do.” – moral obligation love
as against…
“I love you (I really experience a giving, selfless love) because God has placed within me His wonderful love for you.” – Agape or the God Kind of Love. I’ll add here that it’s the very nature of God  (1 John 4:16), the same love that Jesus has (John 13:34) and is a fruit of our recreated human spirits (2 Cor. 5:17, Gal. 6:22) . Enough said, here are four insights on how to make this Agape love more real in our lives.
1. Agape Only Begins Where We End
Picture a corpse in a coffin. Does it have thoughts of its own? Any feelings? Any desires? None whatsoever.  It’s only when we get to that place in our spiritual walk, with our thoughts, our emotions, our desire to get even, our idea of the outcome completely CRUCIFIED (Gal. 2:20) , that Agape flows and God can work in that situation.
This is not suppression or driving those feelings inside (they only eat you up, cause depression, or an even bigger explosion) or expressing your anger to the other person  (this only creates more pain and darkness and confusion) because we’re not acting in the wisdom, the timing or the love of the Spirit. It’s simply getting in your prayer closet and waiting on the Lord until He gives you the answer.
Almost as a real-life preparation for this article, I got into a huge argument. What started as a phone call, turned into a discussion, turned into a major theological debate that completely polarized my friend & I. So I took his permission for some time off, and after spending over 15 hours praying in the Spirit  (Jude 20-21) whilst listening to praise & worship on my earphones over three and a half days, I was finally able to break through.
During those terrible hours with wave upon wave of anger, and thoughts of hopelessness & giving up crowding in on me, I held on in my own personal Gethsamene. In the end satan lost, Agape flowed, healing flowed, the situation returned back to normal, with the friendship stronger than before. I’ve been into a lot of stuff  - New Age, Transactional Analysis, the Self Esteem Movement, A Course in Miracles – but nothing, nothing, nothing can bring that complete and lasting healing to our hearts like the love of Jesus within us does.
2. Agape Celebrates Our Differences
                Anyone who knows my twin Sanjay & I knows we’re both very different. Sanjay is friendly, social, a born leader. He loves meeting family and friends, loves to travel, and can manage people and complex projects very easily.
 Me, I’m the creative type, need a lot of personal space, and love losing myself in the Word and prayer. While I do spend a lot of time ministering and praying with folks, my ideal weekend is two days locked in with the Lord and His Word with the phone off and no contact with the outside world!
It’s these differences in all of us that makes life interesting. As long as we flow with them and not try and make others in our image. The Greeks identified four basic temperaments : 1. Sanguine - optimistic, cheerful, popular and fun-loving  2.Choleric - ambitious, persuasive, independent,and dynamic 3. Melancholic – introspective, sentimental, self-conscious & intuitive 4. Phlegmatic – adaptable, peaceful, reliable & easy-going
Each type has peculiar strengths and weaknesses. Just accepting and working with these differences makes relationships easier to live with and understand. It also ends a lifetime of frustration, of dealing with our own ‘hang-ups’. Now we boast in our weaknesses (2 Cor. 12:9), for the power of God is at work within us (Eph 3:20) to transform these weaknesses into strengths for His Glory (2 Cor. 3:18)
It would pay anyone to study up on this. Tim La Haye’s got some excellent books on the Spirit-Controlled Temperament. You could also reach for ‘Personality Plus’ by Florence Littauer.
3. Agape Agrees With The Counsel Of The Word And The Spirit
In ‘The Tipping Point’ sociologist Malcolm Gladwell discussed Dunbar’s number or how an individual can have meaningful, genuine relationships with a maximum of 150 people. Beyond that number, it’s gets difficult. We find ourselves stretched, burdened, irritated and burnt out; unable to give quality time to ourselves or the ones closest to us.
Which is why the Bible has much to say on who we let into our inner circle. Yes, while it does talk about a love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things (1 Cor.13:7), it also talks about a love that is discerning. In fact, in Rev 2:18-22, we find the Lord Jesus Himself strongly cautioning Christians in Thyatira to keep away from a certain individual.
To not heed such advice is to invite trouble and even face the judgment of God (ver. 22). A closer study of the Word reveals a lot more of the same advice. In writing to Titus, Paul informs him to reject a divisive person after a first and a second admonition (Titus 3:10), while to the Corinthians he even goes so far as to command them not to keep company or even eat with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. (1 Cor. 5:11)
So clearly discernment is involved, for as Christians, we will encounter the carnal (1 Cor. 3:3),  spiritually immature (Heb. 5:12), unteachable (2 Tim 3:7), foolish (Rom 2:20), boastful (2 Cor. 11:18) , immoral (1 Cor. 5:1) the legalists  (Gal. 3:1-2) , fake (2 Cor.11:26), unstable (Eph 4:14), control freaks like Diotrephes (3 John 9, 2 Cor. 11:20), gossips & busybodies (1 Tim. 5:13), lovers of money (2 Tim. 3:2), cultists (2 John 9-10), the rebellious like Hymenaeus & Philetus (2 Tim.2:17),  false teachers (2 Pet. 2:1), deceitful workers (2 Cor. 11:13) and  the ones who preach the Word with impure motives (Phil. 1:15-16).
To not put the Word into practice, is to drain yourself physically and emotionally, and even to despair of ever finding true Christian friends. I know it because I’ve been there, and want to let you know that if you’re feeling condemned about not giving your time to everyone who asks for it, check with the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27) if He really wants you to spend time with that particular person. You just might be surprised with what He tells you!
4. Agape Needs Time To Grow, Mature And Recharge
I’m writing this point after just having spent the last two days ministering to others. It’s ironical that after being blessed and seeing others blessed by the Word and the Spirit, that right now with my body feeling a little worn out, that I need to be most watchful that I walk in Agape towards those around me.
It’s easy to get angry, irritated and depressed when we’re low on energy, tired, stressed out and running on empty. In such a state, we can’t think correctly let alone hear the Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27) Even the prophet Elijah reached a state of physical exhaustion, so that in spite of what he had witnessed at Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18:20-40), he now pleads with God to take him away (1 Kings 19:4).
As Christians we have to come to terms that our bodies need rest. Yes, we will receive heavenly bodies but as long as we are in this mortal flesh, we are going to have to take time to adequately rest, recharge and recoup. Jesus even asked His disciples to take some time off to rest (Mark 6:31) because there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.
But more than spiritual rest, the Christian needs time alone with the Lord; time in the Word and time in His Presence. We know that the love of God has been poured into our hearts (Rom. 5:5) by the Holy Spirit in the New Birth, but unless nurtured in the Spirit (Gal 5:25) and developed in the Word (Rom 12:2), within us as a seed it remains.
So let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart (Gal 6:9). My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth (1 John 3:18). Let us walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and gave Himself for us (Eph 5:2).
Quit Smoking Plz............
SMOKING IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH.
No one can deny this!!
How many times the Lord's gently reminded you to QUIT SMOKING,
But you've been putting it off??
The Lord knows it defiles your body & it's not good for your health.
That's why even manufacturers too are forced to put that message on the cigarette boxes.
I am burdened to pray for friends and loved ones who still smoked and think it's ok. Pray the Lord will enlighten them to the truth that smoking is "INJURIOUS TO HEALTH" and that their body is the "Temple of the HOLY SPIRIT"
It may be hard to quit smoking..but surely not impossible.
I just happened to read this article on-line and sharing it with you all. Pray someone out there is blessed.
Before reading the articles below..just know that God wants to help people who are struggling to quit this habit.
Just "Pray" & reach out to JESUS.
