WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

He will never leave or forsake us...

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Jesus Christ our Lord promised to never leave or forsake and He keeps His Word to His own. There are times our heart may be heavy, we may feel weak to move on but then you will hear that voice within say "Have faith and I'll carry you again".
When the going gets tough, let us call out to Him, He will come and give us hope and strength to move on!

Good Night!

Julia

May our hearts be moved with compassion and love...

Who were the Pharisees? The Pharisees were a very strict Jewish religious sect, often mentioned in the New Testament, who tried to apply the Torah (Jewish Law) and their own law and traditions to everyday life. They commanded much respect and exercised a great deal of power over the common people but were often condemned by Jesus Christ our Lord. The ‪Pharisees knew the law and rules of The Book well, seen Jesus Christ do miracles, heard Him preach but failed to see or know The Savior! The ‪Pharisees‬ kept the law to the dot and couldn't see beyond beyond law technicalities. When Jesus walked this earth, He ate with sinners. Matthew 9:10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" 12 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." The Pharisees had no room for love, compassion nor were needs of people important to them. But ‪‎Jesus Christ looked beyond that at the need of the people. His heart was moved with compassion. Matthew 12:1 At that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. 2 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath!” 3 But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: 4 how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 5 Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? 6 Yet I say to you that in this place there is One greater than the temple. 7 But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” 9 Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. 10 And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him. 11 Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? 12 Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” 13 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. 14 Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. The May we be imitators of our Lord Jesus Christ. May our hearts be filled with His compassion and love. Julia #Pharisees #JesusChrist #Compassion #Love

Study The Word of God!

Good Morning!

Ignorance of God's Word makes us confused, double minded, keeps us in darkness and weakens us!
It is better we search ‪God's Word‬ prayerfully to know God's thoughts on any matter, than search on Google which will only leave us confused!

God's Word says,
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We may read God's Word daily but when was the last time we sat down to study and search the Word of God?

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart."

If we do not seek and search, how will we find and know the truth?
Only when we study His Word we can discern right from wrong and know what is acceptable to the Lord. May we too daily take time to search God's Word to find out what God has to say and not believe all the different teachings we hear on TV, read on the net etc.

The Bereans not only received the word in all readiness but they also searched the scriptures to confirm if the things they heard preached were true!
In ancient times, the Bereans were the inhabitants of the city of Berea, also known in the Bible as Beroea, and now known as Veria in what is today Greek Macedonia, northern Greece.

Acts 17:10 "Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these."

What is it, though, that made the Bereans so special? The Bereans did not blindly believe but examined what they heard by comparing it to the Old Testament Scriptures. The fact that they honestly listened and conducted further personal research led many Bereans to faith in Jesus as the Messiah. They are a positive example of how a person has to respond to biblical teaching.

May we not blindly believe all we hear and read and form our opinion of Yahweh and His Word! Let us ourselves Read His Word and get to know Him and His Will.

Be blessed studying His Word,

Julia

God's Word my tent~ By Becky Leslie

It’s amazing how alive the Word of God is. And apparently, how alive and real it can be in any of our lives is up to us! We decide to what level we allow the Word of God to penetrate our hearts and move in our spirits. While it’s possible to remain completely untouched by merely ‘reading’ passages from the Bible; if you meditate, dwell on and think about God’s Word a lot — it can spring up alive in you and start working in you. And what’s to be surprised in that? The Word IS God anyway. It’s that God (the Word) then that we’ve been spending time with that births the work of the Spirit in our lives.

It’s what’s been happening to me. I’ve been studying the book of Job for a while now and I’m really not sure when I’ll be done (if you can ever be ‘done’). I haven’t got past Job 22: 21-30 yet. I just can’t get past it. As in, I literally find it impossible to read further. I’ve been reading, re-reading, saying out loud, saying in my thoughts, thinking, re-thinking and reading phrase by phrase these 9 verses for a few days now. As I’ve been doing that, I’ve seen God start to literally bring alive these words in my life and start cutting through my flesh and dealing with my heart using these very words. I’m finding myself in situations where these words are challenged and where they’re made relevant. It’s supernatural how God’s Word can become a fire in your bones and consume you till you are purified.

My previous post was about Job 22:24,25 about “assigning your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks”. Today, the Lord has been speaking to me through Job 22:22, 23. The verses say: “Accept instruction from His mouth and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; if you remove wickedness from your tent…”

The first part of this portion talks of two aspects — accepting His instruction & laying up His words in our heart — both of which are prerequisites to intimacy with God. Both speak of a relationship with the Word of God, that most Christians today don’t really have. My whole understanding of God’s Word and the relationship I have with it has been changing lately. My conventional attitude towards His Word has been challenged.

As Christians with easy access to the Bible, we’ve become so comfortable just reading it and receiving a little encouragement from it. The Bible is a good read generally speaking too and so for the most, it does leave one with a good uplifted feel. It is easy to be satisfied with that ‘feeling’. But do we have a relationship with the Word of God? Do we accept the instruction that comes from God through it? Do we lay up the Word of God in our hearts? Do we allow the Word to penetrate, change, rearrange and rework us? If not, we’re doing it wrong. Have you wondered why we give so much importance and weight to words that come forth from prophets or men of God and hang on to those words and run after them; but at the same time, don’t pursue the Bible — God’s very spoken Word straight from His heart, inspired by His Holy Spirit? Something we can ask ourselves today: Are we laying up His Word in our hearts?

The latter part of this portion is also challenging. Especially the words “if you remove wickedness from your tent…”. God’s been wrecking me with this phrase: “remove wickedness from your tent”.

Tents are private spaces not public areas. Tents represent solitude, privacy and confinement. This has been God’s constant challenge to me through this phrase: “What are you doing in your private, personal and confined moments?” We’re such great Christians and lovable people in public spaces. Our smiles are big, our hearts are large, our giving is elaborate, our hugs are long, our speech is filtered, our actions are careful and our reactions are measured. But, God doesn't seem to care about that if there’s wickedness in our tents. If there is sin in our private lives, in the confines of our rooms, in our secluded moments and in times of solitude. He wants the wickedness gone from the secret place. He seeks righteousness in the lonely hours. Our second question to ourselves today can be this: Is there wickedness in my tent?

Which door will you choose?

Hi family and friends...
It's time to make this choice if there is anyone who reads this, has not made this choice as yet.
IN LIFE WE HAVE MANY CHOICES, BUT ETERNITY HAS ONLY TWO.
HEAVEN OR HELL...

Matthew 25:46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
WHICH ONE DO YOU CHOSE?

IN THIS WORLD THERE ARE MANY PATHS, BUT THERE ARE JUST 2 PATHS THAT LEAD TO ETERNITY.
NARROW OR BROAD...

Matthew 7: 13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
WHICH ONE WILL YOU CHOSE?
There is just ONE WAY that leads to heaven.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
If you have not made this choice, do it today.

Jesus Christ our Lord waits with outstretched arms to hold you and make you His own.
He is the one who will give rest to a burdened soul.
Jesus said..

Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Tomorrow may never be yours.
Choose Eternal life.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

Escape eternal condemnation and the place of torment by choosing Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Luke 16:23 In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.
Let's beware...
Jude 1:4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality anddeny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
God bless you..

Did we read God's Word today?

Hi..
`*✶♥ God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path 106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it,that I will follow your righteous laws.
`*✶We need to hide God's word in our hearts so that we do not stray away from God.
Psalm119: 9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

`*✶The Bible says in
Ezra 7: 10 For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.
`*✶ Ezra's life was effective to move others forward was because he not only studied and taught God's Word but obeyed it and applied it in his life.
`*✶Let's take out time to read HIS WORD every day.
His word is like a map that helps us find our way through life,
It keeps our feet from stumbling.
`*✶Have we read His Word today?
His Word is the most powerful truth and weapon on earth!
It is our standard by which we measure all things..
Psalmist says..
Psalm 119: 147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I have put my hope in your word.

`*✶So from tomorrow let's rise early morning and commit our ways to Our Lord.
Let's read His Word & meditate on it.
`*✶Sometime we fail to get sleep at night..then let's pray and read God's Word. God may speak to us or show us something in His Word.
Psalm 119: 148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night,
that I may meditate on your promises.
Be Blessed,
Good Night

Job was blameless and upright...but....

Hi Family and friends,
Greetings from India.
This morning I read the 1st chapter of Job.
Job 1:1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
Job was a man who was blameless and upright but that did not spare him from trials and pain.
Job lost all he had for no fault of his but though he struggled to understand why all those calamities, he chose to trust God no matter what.
Let's too take one day at a time. We too may face trials, pass through painful situations but Job's life can be a source of encouragement to us.
We can choose to trust God instead of giving in to the temptation of questioning God if He really cared.
When Job lost it all, he said,
"Naked I came from my mother's womb,
       and naked I will depart.
       The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised."
(Job 1:21)
He did not blame God.
Job 1:22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
Even when his wife said to him,
"Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!"
(Job 2:9)
He replied,
"You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"
 (Job 2:10)
He chose to accept God's authority.
Believing in God does not protect us from trouble but when calamity falls, He gives us strength to bear it.
Isa 43:2, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
So when we walk through tough situations let's not question God or give up on HIM.
He never gives up on us!!
God sure is powerful enough to save us from trials but sometimes chooses to let us walk through such situations.
Job passed his test and proved that people can trust God for who HE IS and not just for what HE GIVES!!
Be Blessed,
YSIC,
Julia
