He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.He was a man like us who faced struggles, prone to fear and loose hope, but he kept going on because of prayer!
JAMES 5:16b, "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."The Bible speaks about "travailing in prayer." and in fact Elijah's posture as HE prayed for rain ( just study the life of Elijah and Elisha again, you will be blessed), was of a woman giving birth.. As birth takes a lot of effort and energy so does "travailing prayer", to release the Holy Spirit's power to birth the rain that was so...badly needed after a 3 and a 1/2 years of drought.
John:13 : 34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Jesus says, Christ like love will show us we are His disciples. Jesus was and always is a living example of God's love and we are to be imitators of Christ.Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children His love for us lead Him to the The Cross for our sakes.1 Peter 4: 8 "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."As we wait expectantly for Christ's coming, let's grow in our love for God and for others. Our talents, our gifts, our status, our possessions, our riches, our education mean nothing if we do not have Christ's Love in us.1 John 3: 18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."The love the world offers is so often deceptive.

Let's take a potted Rose plant and place it on the window. And let's turn all the roses to face our room. But as the Sun rises up, we'll find the roses turning towards the sun. It seems to prefer to look at the light than the darkness within the room.We too need to quickly turn away from gloomy, sad situations and look towards brighter situations.
We need to be people who radiate joy and cheerfulness.
Cheerful people who bring joy and smiles our way are hard to forget and live longer in our memory.
We remember joy more readily than sorrow and we like to be around cheerful people.
Let us be cheerful people too and do all that we have to do cheerfully.
ROMANS 12:8, ".....if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."
Even as the Rose turns towards the sun, which is it's source of energy, let us look towards the SON OF GOD (JESUS OUR SAVIOR) for our source of joy and strength. Let the Glory of God reflect on us & through us.

★Matthew 25:1"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' 7"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.' 9" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' 10"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11"Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. Here we read a parable of the ten virgins who go out to meet the bridegroom. 5 were wise & five foolish. The foolish ones failed to carry extra oil. There was a delay & the bridegroom did not come at the expected time & when he finally came the 5 foolish virgins had no oil & had to go to buy some & when they did return, it was too late. Each of us are responsible for our own spiritual life. We must always be ready to meet our Savior Jesus Christ. Each of us have to personally have a relationship with our Lord. We need to be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT & walk in His anointing. It's not just enough to read His Word, writ about it, talk about it but we need to obey HIS Word & act on them. Only then we will be wise.
★Matthew 7:24"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."
Even today we may be waiting for Our Savior's return but if we are not walking in obedience to His Word & living as He wants us to live & don't know Him personally in our hearts & live in fellowship with HIM on daily basis...He may one day say"I do not know you" (Mat 25:12). ★Matthew 7: 21-22"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?"
It's not being good or being religious & talking religion that will take us to our Father in Heaven. On the judgement day only our relationship with our Lord & Savior JESUS CHRIST will really matter. Lets love JESUS with all our hearts, let's spend time in His presence to know Him better. Let's read His word & meditate on it. Let's quieten ourselves in His Presence to hear Him speak. He'll speak to those who take the time to listen.
Psalm 25: 14 "The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them."
Isn't that amazing...the Lord confiding & sharing His heart with those who fear Him.!
Let's fall in love with our Savior all over again, let's live for Him & serve Him & also be always alert & watchful as we do not know when Our Lord will come. But when He does come we got to be ready. Let's start preparing ourselves. It's time to give our best to Jesus.
When Christ comes suddenly there will be no time for last minute repentance or bargaining.
Today we have the choice who we will serve & let's make the right choice!!!!!!!
Let's set priorities right.
Let's seek more of God, long to be in HIS PRESENCE, hunger for HIS WORD, thirst for HIS ANOINTING,
Let's get rid of anything that keeps us from giving Our Lord the 1st place.
