WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Gone off track?

Hi...
In this spiritual walk there are times we find ourselves off the narrow road we were walking in.
Satan is deceptive and sometimes easily distracts us off track and we don't even realise it at first as we slowly move off track!
Compromise comes in inches and then suddenly one day we realise we are far out off the track.
Satan finds it easy to distract us.....
When we are not spending quality time with God, in Bible reading, meditation, prayer and listening to God's voice.
We get too busy with worldly activities and leave God out of our thoughts,
We are spiritually weak..
We are physically weak and in pain,
When we feel hurt, depressed, defeated, offended
When we are successful,
When we refuse to repent,
When we are bored and idle...
In times like these Satan tempts one to watch the wrong stuff, drink, smoke, go to the wrong place and says "Hey it's OK...it's just this once, you'll feel better if you do this, watch this ...you can read your Bible and pray tomorrow when things get better."
But that tomorrow never comes..what started off as fun ends up in addiction and that person realises he's strayed away from God and the path he was to walk...
But there's good news...
When we stray away Jesus comes looking for us, calls out our name, like the shepherd who went searching for that 1 lost sheep, leaving the 99 behind. Then we need to cry out to God, repent & get back to the place where we last felt HIS Presence.
There are just 2 paths,
Matthew 7:13
[ The Narrow and Wide Gates ] "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
Matthew 7:14
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
To keep ourselves from wandering away from the right path...
We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and spend time reading HIS WORD & meditating on it,
Pray at all times...
Keep in touch with other believers in the Body of Christ. That's why meeting together as believers, breaking bread together is so important.
Hebrews 10:25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Don't be idle doing nothing, when alone can listen to good encouraging songs or any thing that does not give the enemy a chance to take hold of our eyes, mind , heart etc...
Be willing to rise up immediately when we fall and keep walking & growing in our Spiritual life.
Keep in touch with our Almighty God and His people then Satan won't find it easy to catch you off guard.
Take care...
Be blessed,

Julia

Move me out of the way Lord....

Hi ...,
Good Morning from India.
May this day be blessed.
Isaiah 58:8
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Zechariah 2:5
And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,' declares the LORD, 'and I will be its glory within.'
Let's trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, with all our hearts.
Let His presence go ahead of us.
Trusting in God..
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
may not always remove the hurdles we face or make mountains smaller.
But it sure make our walking, running and climbing easier.
We may be walking a desert pathway or on a narrow road,
but when our trust is on Our Saviour and Lord JESUS CHRIST, we know it finally leads to the beautiful place spacious (Heaven).

Sure...I know I couldn't have made it this far without JESUS, HE SURE make it easier for me...because His presence makes the problem and pain easier to handle.
The HOLY SPIRIT has been an ever present helper.
Satan does come to steal, kill and destroy...but Our LORD gives life abundantly!!!!
When I'm weak HE'S MY STRENGTH,
When I falter, He steadies me...
When I fall..and cry out to HIM, He picks me up!
Yes through the trials I am perfected.....
So because of JESUS (Yeshua) I can smile through my pain!
There were times in the past I have tried to do things my way.
But it was when I let God take over I found true peace,
I will trust in My Lord JESUS Christ at all times.
Here below is a poem that blessed me.
Be Blessed,
Julia
Psalm 18:19
He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

Move me out of the way Lord.

I run to the front
To take the control
But in the end
It's harm to my soul.

I must be in charge
I think I know best
"It's my life," I say.
I'm leading the quest.

Who knows me better
Than I know me
Though you look
You do not see.

There's only one
Who truly sees me
He knows who I am
And who I could be
The author and finisher
Of my holy faith
The love of my life
He receives all my praise

He truly sees me
The intent of my heart
He understands all
He sees not in part
The depth of His love
For this wretched mean
It boggles my mind
So I don't understand

Why I insist
On running my life
When in the end
It cuts like a knife

When I look upon
The wreckage I've wrought
It all came to ruin
It all came to naught

It's come to the point
Where All I can say
Is move me, dear Lord
Move ME out of the way

Make me decrease
Make me small
Make me, in the end
The least of all

Subdue my ego
O' Lord bind my pride
Have your way, Father
Just move me aside

To you be the glory
Creator of life
The author of peace
Moderator of strife

Flesh cries to be seen
Pride desires to be known
But I know the glory
Is yours alone.

So, Lord hear my plea and answer me true.
Keep me from running ahead of you.
Move me to the rear, drive me to my knees.
Lead me to the light, move me Father, please.

Life is short...eternity is not....

Hi...
This life is Abba Father's gift to us.
He chose us even when we were in our mother's womb.
Let's live this life with eternity in view. Let's live this life spreading Christ's fragrance all around.
2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
2 Corinthians 2:16 To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.
Let's keep serving our Lord faithfully.
God wants us to be imitators of Christ and live a life pleasing to Him, tell others about His saving grace and intercede for all.
1 Timothy 2: 2"........that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time."
Our greatest commission of earth is...to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Mark 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
ARE WE FAITHFUL TO OUR COMMISSION?
ARE WE HIS WITNESSES IN OUR HOMES, WORK PLACES, COMMUNITY AND TO PEOPLE ALL OVER?
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
WITNESSING BEGINS AT HOME.
Earthly accomplishments, riches , processions all are meaningless...(vanity)!  What this world offers us is empty, vain pleasures. So often we get carried by things of this world.
Satan also blinds our eyes to believe all we see and hear to be from God....and we too get fooled so....easily.
Let's give out best to the Kingdom work and people we love and interact with.
He(Satan) did that to Eve in the Garden of Eden he enticed her with his sweet words and he does that to us today.
Life without God can become meaningless. God has called us to be the light...in the dark world.
Even as the World gets filthier and filthier, God expects us to be Holier and Holier.

Revelation 22:11 Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."
It's not easy to walk towards holiness but it's not impossible either for God will help us.
We can't follow God and the World at the same time.
We need to hold lightly to the things of this world and tightly to the things of the Kingdom.
If we get friendly with the world, we slowly start to love it, enjoy it's company and then end up being condemned with it.
That's why the Bible says...in
1 COR 15:33, Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."
We are called to be "Fishers on men" for the Kingdom.!
So hold lightly to the things of this world and let's not look back at sin we left behind and our old neighbourhood.
Let's live like Kingdom people...
Be Blessed..

Let us not loose out on our miracle...

Hi..family and friends..
Let us not cancel our miracle by harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, grudge, impure and negative thoughts. Let's not loose out on entering our promised land by complaining, murmuring, grumbling. The Israelites not only roamed in the desert for 40 years, one generation failed to see the promised land.`
Abba father..
Help us to be humble, loving, kind and not be hard hearted, unforgiving and bitter..
In Jesus Name..
Amen
God's word says...
Ephesians 4:30 "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
1 Peter 4:9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
Resentment and bitterness can grow and grow like a weed and takes deep root in us, destroying even the good in us.
That's why the Bible wars us in...
Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
So let us let go of all negative feelings.
Ephesians 4:32 " Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."
Colossians 3:13"Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]."
2 Corinthians 12:20  "For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder."
Today, if we feel we have any un-forgiveness, bitterness or resentment in our heart, can we tell the Lord to take it away?
We reap what we sow.
Let's sow forgiveness, love, joy, laughter, money, material things, prayer and other good things,
May God's love rule and reign in our hearts.

ISRAEL IS HERE TO STAY.......

Israel is here to stay,
Israel will never be removed...
God is her protector!
HE IS HER KEEPER.
THE LORD WHO KEEPS ISRAEL,
NEVER SLUMBERS OR SLEEPS.
Psalm 121: 1 to 8
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

~THE STRANGER~Author unknown

THE STRANGER

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small Texas town.  From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey.
But the stranger...he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seem to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet.
(I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home... Not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad didn't permit the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try it on
a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... And NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?....
We just call him, "TV."

LOOK BEFORE YOU LABEL
~Max Lucado~
Caring or Condemning?
Recently we took our kids on a vacation to a historical city. While going on a tour through an old house, we followed a family from New York City. They didn’t tell me they were from New York. They didn’t have to. I could tell. They wore New York City clothes. Their teenager had one half of his head shaved and on the other half of his head, his hair hung past his shoulders. The daughter wore layered clothes and long beads. The mother looked like she’d raided her daughter’s closet, and the dad’s hair was down the back of his neck.
I had them all figured out. The kid was probably on drugs. The parents were going through a midlife crisis. They were rich and miserable and in need of counseling. Good thing I was nearby in case they wanted spiritual counsel.
After a few moments they introduced themselves. I was right; they were from New York City. But that is all I got right. When I told them my name, they were flabbergasted. “We can’t believe it!” they said. “We've read your books. We use them in our Sunday school class in church. I tried to get over to hear you when you spoke in our area, but that was our family night and ...”
Sunday school? Church? Family night? Oh, boy. I’d made a mistake. A big mistake. I’d applied the label before examining the contents.
We've all used labels. We stick them on jars and manila folders so we’ll know what’s inside. We also stick them on people for the same reason.
John tells of a time the disciples applied a label. Jesus and his followers came upon a man who had been blind from birth. Here is the question the disciples asked Jesus: “Teacher, whose sin caused this man to be born blind-his own sin or his parents’ sin?” (John 9:2).
Never mind that the man is a beggar in need of help. Never mind that the man has spent his life in a dark cave. Never mind that the man seated in front of them is in earshot of their voices. Let’s talk about his sin.
How could they be so harsh? So insensitive? So... blind.
The answer? (You may not like it.) It’s easier to talk about a person than to help a person. It’s easier to debate homosexuality than to be a friend to a gay person. It’s easier to discuss divorce than to help the divorced. It’s easier to argue abortion than to support an orphanage. It’s easier to complain about the welfare system than to help the poor.
It’s easier to label than to love.
Is that to say we should be unconcerned for doctrine or lax in a desire for holiness?
Absolutely not.
That is to say there is something wrong with applying the label before examining the contents.
It’s easier to label than to love.
It’s especially easy to talk theology.
Such discussion makes us feel righteous.
Self-righteous.
As long as I’m confessing sins, I might as well confess another. WE had such a theological discussion in Brazil. We missionaries debated whether we should offer Communion to people who are not members of our church. Our reasoning? What if they aren’t faithful? What if they aren’t truly converted? If we offer them Communion, we could be leading them to eat the bread or drink of the cup in an unworthy manner, thereby leading them to sin (see 1 Cor 11:27). So we decided that first-time visitors could not partake.
We meant well. It sounded right. But I learned a lesson.
Guess what happened. That very week a friend told me he would like to visit the church. The same friend I had been inviting for weeks. The same friend who had shown no interest was suddenly interested. At first I was elated; then my heart sank. I told him he could come, but he could not partake of Communion.
As long as I live, I’ll never forget the look on his face as he passed the Communion plate to the person next to Him. He never returned. Who could blame him? We’d applied the label before we looked inside.
Is that to say religious discussion is wrong?
Of course not.
Is that to say we should be unconcerned for doctrine or lax in a desire for holiness?
Absolutely not.
That is to say there is something wrong with applying the label before examining the contents.
Do you like it when people label you before they know you?

“Hmm, you’re an accountant?” (Translation: Must be dull.)
“She’s an Episcopalian.” (Translation: Must be liberal.)
“She’s an Episcopalian who voted for the democrats.” (Translation: Must be a liberal beyond help.)
“Oh, I’m sorry; I didn’t know you were a divorcee.” (Translation: Must be immoral.)
He’s a fundamentalist.” (Translation: Narrow-minded half-wit.)
Labels. A fellow gave me one the other day. We got into a lively discussion about some ethical issues. Somewhere in our conversation he asked me what kind of work I was in. I told him I was minister, and he said “Oh I see,” and grew silent.
I wanted to say, “No you don’t. Don’t you put me in a box. I’m not a minister. I am Max-who-ministers. Don’t you put me in a box with hucksters and hypocrites you may know. That’s not fair.”
Labels. So convenient. Stick them on a person, and you know what pantry to use.
What if God did that with us? What if God judged us by our outward appearance?
(Thank God He does not do that!!!)
What if he judged us based on where we grew up? Or what we did for living? Or the mistakes we made when we were young? Would He do that, would He?
“Don’t judge other people. Or you will be judged. You will be judged in the same way you judge others, and the amount you give to others will be given to you.” (Matthew 7:1-2).
Be careful when you judge. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t discern. That does mean we shouldn’t pass verdict. The amount of grace you give is the amount of grace you get.       Jesus had another view of a man born blind. Rather than see him as an opportunity for discussion, he saw him as an opportunity for God. Why was he blind?
“ So God’s power could be shown in him.” (John 9:3).
What a perspective! That man wasn’t a victim of fate; he was a miracle waiting to happen. Jesus didn’t label him. He helped him. Jesus was more concerned about the future than the past.
Who do you best relate to in this story? Some of you relate to the man born blind. You have been the topic of conversations. You have been left on the outside looking in. You’ve been labeled.
If so, learn what this man learned: When everyone else rejects you, Christ accepts you. When everyone else leaves you, Christ finds you. When no one else wants you, Christ claims you. When no one else will give you the time of day, Jesus will give you the words of eternity.
Others of you will relate to the observers.
You’ve judged. You’ve labeled. You’ve slammed the gravel and proclaimed the guilt before knowing the facts.
If that is you, go back to John 9:4 and understand what the work of God is: “While it is daytime we must continue doing the work of the one who sent me.”
What is the work of God?
Accepting people.
Loving before judging.
Caring before condemning.
        LOOK BEFORE YOU LABEL.

THERE IS NO ONE LIKE HIM....

Hi family and friends..
Daniel 6: 26 "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom
people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.
"For he is the living God and he endures forever;
his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.

Is there any one like our Lord?

KNOW HOW THE APOSTLES DIED?

DO YOU KNOW HOW THE APOSTLES DIED?
1.Matthew  Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, killed by a sword wound
2.Mark : Died in Alexandria, Egypt, after being dragged by horses through the streets until he was dead.
3.Luke : Was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous preaching to the lost.
4.John: Faced martyrdom when he was boiled in huge basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution in Rome. However, he was miraculously delivered from death. John was then sentenced to the mines on the prison island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic Book of Revelation on Patmos. The apostle John was later freed and returned to serve as Bishop of Edessa in modern Turkey. He died as an old man, the only apostle to die peacefully.
5.Peter: He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die in the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

6.James: The leader of the church in Jerusalem, was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.
7.James the Great: Son of Zebedee, was a fisherman by trade when Jesus called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was ultimately beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer who guarded James watched amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

8.Bartholomew:  Also known as Nathaniel Was a missionary to Asia.  He witnessed for our Lord in present day Turkey .
Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia where he was flayed to death by a whip.
9.Andrew: Was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being whipped severely by seven soldiers they tied his body to  the cross with cords to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, when he was led toward the cross, Andrew saluted it in these words: 'I have long desired and expected this happy hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of Christ hanging on it.' He continued to preach to his tormentors for two days until he expired.
10.Thomas: Was stabbed with a spear in India during one of his missionary trips to establish the church in the sub-continent.
11.Jude: Was killed with arrows when he refused to deny his faith in Christ.
12.Matthias: The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot, was stoned and then beheaded.
13.Paul: Was tortured and then beheaded by the evil Emperor Nero at Rome in A.D. 67.
Paul endured a lengthy imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, whic taught many of the foundational doctrines of Christianity, form a large portion of the
New Testament.

Perhaps this is a reminder to us that our sufferings here are indeed minor compared to the intense persecution and cold cruelty faced by the Apostles during their times for the sake of the Faith.

Lord give us a discerning heart

Hi...

All of us love to learn about all latest happenings from the net.
But are these news always reliable?
There are teachings for and against Biblical facts.

Some read these conflicting views of men and go astray and lost.

But this can be avoided if one spends time reading the Word of God to learn what the Bible said about any matter.
GOD'S WORD IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

So we need to test all things we hear, see and read and align it with God's Word.

No wonder God's word says,
"...PROVE ALL THINGS; HOLD FAST TO THAT WHICH IS GOOD..." 1THESSALONIANS 5:21

David committed adultery, ordered the murder of the woman's husband he lusted for, but did God refuse to forgive him when he turned to Him in true repentance?
We serve a God who gracefully restores those who willingly repent of their sinful past and seek forgiveness.
We sure can pray for someone who truly repents and is willing to be restored to God.
~Let's pray for restoration, healing of broken marriages in the Body of Christ.
~Let's pray for return of prodigals.

Internet carries more negative than positive news about men of God and Christian ministries.

Even Bible teachers may have their own interpretation of the truth of God's Word. BUT GOD'S WORD ALWAYS REMAINS THE SAME. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR BEST TEACHER.

Let's test all things we hear and align it to the Word of God.

Let's not believe all we hear, see and read.
Our prayer should be..
"O Lord...Give us a discerning heart, to know what is right and wrong."
*1 Kings 3:9 "So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?"
And God will give us what we ask.
*1 Kings 3:12 "I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be."
Only the truth of God's Word can help us discern. Let's read more of God's word so that we are wise to see what is right in God's eyes.
*Job 34:4 "Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good."
*Proverbs 17:24 "A discerning man keeps wisdom in view, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth."
*Daniel 2:21 "He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning."
Let's pray for all those who need our prayers. We also need prayer covering of others in the Body of Christ.
Stay blessed..
