Pray at all times for all things...

Nehemiah prayed in every situation he faced.

In the Book of Nehemiah we see Nehemiah pray 8 times spontaneously, when he had little time to think (I like that!!!)

(Nehemiah 2:4/4:4-5,9/ 5:19/6:14/ 13:14,22,29)

He prayed at anytime even while talking to others for he was confident God was with him and heard him.

"Life Application Bible" summarizes the occasions he prayed.

If we want God to hear us anytime, anyplace, we need to build up a strong relationship with HIM by spending quality time in His presence, talking to Him, listening to Him, reading and meditating on His Word.

We need to watch and pray about every situation we face.

Let's learn to pour out our hearts to Jesus, grieve about the conditions in the lives of people, our families, workplace, cities and Nation.

God will move on our behalf when we pray.

God gave us His best...

God ALWAYS gives us HIS best!

 John 3:16" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Our Lord desires that we give too give HIM the 1st place in our lives and offer the best to Him. We are to love HIM with all our heart.

Let's place our lives at the alter and let God burn away all that's not from HIM and give us a renewed passion to serve Him, a renewed desire to spend quality time in His presence.

Our Lord and Savior deserves the 1st and the Best!

Rightly someone has said, " Anyone or anything that keeps me from knowing God in a vital way and stops me from from spending time with Him and keeps me away from reading His word, IS MY IDOL."

 Ezekiel 4:3 " THESE MEN HAVE SET UP IDOLS IN THEIR HEARTS & PUT WICKED STUMBLING BLOCKS BEFORE THEIR FACES......"

   Ezekiel 14:6 " REPENT TURN FROM YOU IDOLS & RENOUNCE ALL YOU DETESTABLE PRACTICES."

Let every idol in our life be removed,

Our Lord says...in

Deuteronomy 6:5

  Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

  EXODUS 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me.

 4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments."

OUR ONLY REASON FOR ANY SEASON

It has been said that Jesus died of a broken heart. Whether this can be proven medically or not, I don't know; but I do know that the pain from a broken heart far exceeds that of a damaged physical heart. I cannot begin to imagine what our Lord felt physically as he was beaten and mangled beyond human recognition. Yet, as awful as the physical pain endured by Jesus was, the emotional pain was worse.

When Jesus was initially led to the Religious leaders and was given his first "trial", outside in the courtyard his best disciple was denying he even knew Jesus over and over again. Only a few hours earlier Jesus had been betrayed by Judas who "sold him out" for a few pieces of silver. Judas went out into the night and never returned. Peter, upon hearing the rooster crow three times, went out and wept bitterly. A short time earlier, he had boldly told Jesus he would never forsake him. Jesus told him before the rooster crowed twice he would deny him thrice.

Where were the legions of adoring fans who only a week earlier had showered Jesus with palm leaves when he entered Jerusalem? Where were all the men and women who had been physically and mentally healed by Jesus during his ministry? Where were the influential Pharisees who had invited Jesus into their homes to dine and talk informally? Where were the twelve men who had been with Jesus day in and day out for more than three years?

When the day Jesus had been telling them about for a long time finally came, everyone chose to save themselves instead of standing with Jesus. In the weeks and days leading up to "the end", Jesus had been "turning up the heat" in his teachings and interaction with the people. The higher he turned up the heat, the more people got offended and ceased following him. By the time the final days rolled around, all Jesus had left to show for his years of work were twelve guys who were still more interested in recognition than service, a few women and a couple of close friends like Lazarus.

In those closing days of his ministry, he would daily go to the temple and lay it on the line with the Pharisees and scribes during the day and then go to Bethany and stay with Mary, Martha and Lazarus at night. He was no longer a popular figure and his enemies were plotting his demise daily. In God's due time he would be delivered over to the religious leaders who would find him guilty and take him to Pilate to be given the death sentence.

Once Pilate begrudgingly agreed to the demand to have Jesus crucified, he was led away to be beaten and scourged by the Roman soldiers. Through this horrible ordeal, Jesus was alone and faced this suffering in silence. His "friends" had disappeared and his disciples had found a room to hide in for fear they would be found, tried and convicted just as Jesus had been. Jesus was left to suffer alone as a despised criminal and scorned malefactor.

Hanging on the cross outside Jerusalem, with throngs of frenzied people shouting for him to give up; Jesus mustered his last remaining strength to cry out to God "it is finished". He then died. Somewhere in the crowd, were his mother, Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene and perhaps a few of his disciples. Nowhere was anyone actively condemning this travesty of justice or boldly testifying they believed in Jesus. All there was around him as his life ended was deafening silence. The silence of people too moved with grief, fear and shock to offer him any support or comfort.

Why on earth would I bring this story up when we are supposed to be rejoicing in the birth of Jesus? Because this is the true "reason for the season". Jesus was born into this world to be the savior and redeemer of mankind. He was not born as a king or some great one to be served. He was born to give his life a sacrificial sin offering once and forever for us all. He came into this world to save sinners, of whom we all are chief. There was only one reason Jesus Christ was born, and that was to give his life.

Jesus' life ended much as it began, with only his mother and a few others around to witness the event. When his life began, God saw fit to only let a few humble shepherds know of his birth. When his life ended, all those who had thronged to see, hear and be touched by Jesus had long departed out of fear or from being offended by his honesty. Those left represented but a remnant of the multitudes that once followed him everywhere. As Jesus hung on the cross, he was no hero or superstar; he was a lonely man who had been deserted, betrayed and left to fend for himself by those who once were committed to his cause.

When Jesus took his last breath, he fulfilled his destiny in life. As the redeemer, he had one purpose in living and that was to die. When he did, it set into motion the greatest chain of events ever recorded in history. During the 72 hours Jesus was buried in the tomb, God was making arrangements for the greatest celebration ever know in the universe. When God raised Jesus with ETERNAL LIFE, trumpets blared in heaven and angels everywhere rejoiced with unspeakable joy. The devil was defeated and God had triumphed over death through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When Gabriel appeared to the shepherds and told them of the birth of Jesus there suddenly appeared a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying; "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." This was the angelic testimony to the birth of Jesus Christ. This great witness was finally fulfilled when God raised Jesus from the dead.

God never wanted the birth of Jesus to become a "big deal", so He provided very little information about the event in His Word. One September night, a little over 2000 years ago, a baby was born who would one day fulfill his life's purpose and give his life upon a cross. There was nothing unusual about the birth of Jesus. A woman named Mary gave birth to a son and he was laid in a manger in the presence of her husband and some farm animals. Later some local shepherds came and rejoiced in what they saw and heard. That is it, that is what happened the night Jesus was born.

If you REALLY want a meaningful Christmas, instead of focusing on a Nativity scene that from God's perspective is meaningless; focus on what happened some 33 1/2 years after Jesus' birth. Jesus was not born to provide a mid-winter holiday for the world. Jesus was not born to inspire endless songs to be played non-stop in every store in the land for over two months. Jesus was not born to be replaced in children's minds by a bearded fat man in a red suit who climbs down chimneys and delivers new DVDs and Game Boy products under a tree all decorated so nicely.

Jesus was not born to provide merchants with a means to make money. Jesus was not born to create controversy over whether it is politically correct to say "merry Christmas" vs "happy holidays". Jesus was not born to provide a few days for families spread all over creation to get together. Jesus was not born for the purpose of having a holiday to celebrate his birth.

Jesus was born to be man's Savior and redeem man from sin. Instead of focusing on his birth, spend some time the next few days meditating upon his death and resurrection. Christianity is far more than attending a Christmas and Easter service. That is religion. Christianity is a way of life centered on and revolving around Christ. Please, take some time during the next48 hours to cement your relationship with Christ by telling him how thankful you are, not so much for his birth, but for all he made available to you in giving his life.

Jesus' heart and body were broken 2000 years ago. If we spend time reflecting on him these next few days, his heart will rejoice and it will make all he went through worth all the pain he endured. This is the best way to "celebrate Christmas"; by celebrating our relationship with our Savior and Lord who gave himself so we could live. Jesus Christ, his birth, life, death and resurrection, is the only reason for this season. Merry Christ in You the Hope of Glory and Happy New Life in Him!

Hi ....

What are the best gifts you could give the people around you this Holiday season? (Well these are all time favorite gifts!!)

Well.....the 1st best gift you could give anybody would be JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOR!

For every soul on this planet earth needs JESUS/YESHUA.

 

The 2nd best gift you can give someone is...YOUR TIME!

For when you give some one your time you are sharing a part of your life with them, which you won't get back! And this is precious..!

They will cherish this time you give them!

Let people who don't know JESUS/YESHUA  be introduced to HIM and give your PRECIOUS TIME with God, family, loved ones and friends. Spend time with the lonely, the sick and senior citizens!

Then this Holiday season will be well remembered!

11 months down...18 days to go....

Hi..

Greetings...

Eleven months down and just 18 days more and the curtain falls to end 2013.

The door will shut to 2013 and a new door will open to step into 2014.

Some questions we can ask ourselves~

What have we done for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this year?

His commission to us was,

Mark 16:15

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

He also said in

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

How many lives have we touched and made a difference to?

Have we shared the gospel to those who have not heard about the saving grace of our Lord, this year?

How much have we grown spiritually?

Has our relationship with Jesus Christ our Saviour grown stronger? Do we know Him better than last year?

How much of our time,forgiveness, love, joy, laughter, money, material things, prayer and other good things have we sown in the Kingdom and the lives of others? (For we reap what we sow!)

His greatest commandment was,

Matthew 22:36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37 Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

How many of our new year resolutions have we fulfilled?

I think it's good we took a stock of our life today.

Then we can step into new year with a new vision and get ready to do all that we can for our Lord Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, our family, friends and for those who still need to hear the Word of God! 

So in the next few days let's.....

 At least share the GOOD NEWS to one person who does not know Jesus. How will they know if we don't tell them?

 Sow our time, love, prayer for the Kingdom's extension and in the lives of people who are dear to us, for the lost and for the Nations!

 Get closer to God by spending more time reading HIS WORD, meditating on it, in prayer and listening to HIS voice.

 Take time off everything to sit at HIS feet and receive strength and anointing to step into a new year. A 3 days of fasting (partial or total) and prayer is a good idea!

 Let's let go of things  of the world that hold on to us and slow us down in our spiritual walk.

 Let's visit the people we promised we would but never made it.

 Let's forgive the people who hurt us and forget all that upset us. Let's try to get right with anybody we have problem relating too, even if that person doesn't want to forgive and forget, let's just release all ill feelings and love them, if they still hold bitterness against us let's not worry about it but walk in freedom.

Luke 6:28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

 Let's try to complete a part of our pending  new year resolutions (If we had made any!!) the rest we can carry it on to the next years list (if we want to!!).

 Let's give quality time to do the Lord's work, for family and friends.

 If the Lord had been urging us to do something and we've been putting it off..LET'S DO IT NOW!

The time to stand up for our Lord and Savior JESUS/ YESHUA is NOW.

We have just a short opportunity to witness for CHRIST and live for HIM.

If ever you ought to read the BIBLE, meditate on HIS word, FAST, pray and win souls....it has to be NOW!!

Come on...let's get going!

Let's be obedient to HIS Voice if we hear it! 

Hebrews 3:15As has just been said: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion."

Heb:3: 7-8: 'So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion,  during the time of testing in the desert."

Let's ask God to break us, remake us and use us for His Glory

You will recover! God will restore!

Life is not easy always, everyday we face situations we have to resist, overcome, fight for and we will face disappointments, failures. People will misunderstand us, misinterpret us, disregard us, treat us as strangers but we need to still stand up and speak the truth!

We need to encourage ourselves in the Lord! 
Be strong O my soul BE STRONG IN THE LORD! Be strong! You have hard work to do, and loads to lift. 

Shun not the struggle, shame and pain, face it, it is God's gift. Be strong! 

Stand up, speak out, and be bold, in the mighty Name of my Lord Jesus Christ. Your deliverance comes from the Lord O my soul Be strong!

Time to go to the enemy's camp and take back all he stole from you. He has no right to hold on to what is legally yours.

It matters not how unfair and hard the battle goes,don't quit, Faint not, fight on! Deliverance is on the way.

The devil has to let go if you press on.

The one who lives in you is greater that the enemy you face.

Time to seek His face and hear His voice

Sometimes we need to shut off the sounds of the world to hear God clearly. 

Sometimes there are so...many confusing voices around that we need to go into our closets to hear the voice of truth. 

Matthew 6:6 "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." 

Time to shut off and seek His face as never before.

Abba Father..

Forgive me for the times I have been quick to hate, judge, assume, presume and have told others their worth.

Give me a heart like Yours to love unconditionally and watch my words and thoughts at all times.

May I be a Kingdom builder and may You increase and I decrease.

May I live to please You so that one day I can enter through the pearly gates of Heaven.

May I spend more time in Your presence and know You better every day!

All I have to give up on earth is nothing compared to what I'll inherit in Heaven.

This is the day that the Lord has made, 

We will rejoice and be glad in it...

Here below I share a thought shared by our Pastor , long back.

This thought on "Dark lines"sure blessed me!!

Pastor said..."Dark lines make good paintings."

He said, the trials we face in life are like dark lines in our lives.

Joseph had many dark lines in his life.

He was hated by his brothers, they wanted to kill him, then sold him as a slave, then he was falsely accused by Potiphar's wife & sent to prison for no fault of his.

But that didn't drive him to sin, or turn him away from God but he ran to God.

Joseph had many dark lines even as a young boy. But God was with Him.

Genesis 39:2 says, " The Lord was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master."

His endured hard times an found favor in the eyes of God and men.

He found favor in the eyes of Potipar.

The trials we face will build us up and make us better individuals if we look up to God.

Unbelievers will recognise who we are. We do not have to say anything.

Potipar noticed Joseph's integrity & seen he can be trusted.

Dark lines are "THE STROKES OF A MASTER PAINTER" and a " Master artist notices it."

In our canvas of life the 'Dark lines' sure stand out and bring the best in us.

Even in these trying situations, if we are faithful and walk in Purity, 

Promotions and Prosperity (Genesis Chapters 39 to41) will come.

Letting go..and moving on....

It's one life we have and it's too short too to be spent on holding grudges, or keeping memories of wrong done to us.

Let us not cancel our miracle by harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, grudge, impure and negative thoughts. Let's not loose out on entering our promised land by complaining, murmuring, grumbling. The Israelites not only roamed in the desert for 40 years, one generation failed to see the promised land.`

Ephesians 4:30 "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind... and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."Abba father..
Help us to be humble, loving, kind and not be hard hearted, unforgiving and bitter..

ARE WE WILLING TO LET GO OF THINGS THE LORD HAS BEEN PROMPTING US TO LAY ASIDE?
MAY BE IT'S A HABIT, A RELATIONSHIP, A HARMLESS ACTIVITY THAT'S TAKING TOO MUCH OF OUR TIME?
A TELEVISION PROGRAMME WE ARE TOO ADDICTED TO? A COMPUTER GAME?

TOO MUCH OF NEWS PAPER READING, WATCHING TELEVISION NEWS THAT WE FIND NO TIME TO READ GOD'S WORD AND PRAY?

HAVE SOME FRIENDSHIPS TAKEN TOO MUCH OF OUR TIME, THAT WE FIND NO TIME TO TALK TO GOD?
IF GOD'S BEEN PROMPTING US TO LET GO OF THINGS,ACTIVITIES, FRIENDSHIPS THAT HOLDS ON TO US...
LET'S TODAY PRAY AND LET THEM GO.
ANYTHING THAT COMES BETWEEN US AND GOD IS AN IDOL.

Ezekiel 20:7 And I said to them, "Each of you, get rid of the vile images you have set your eyes on, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am the LORD your God."LET'S REMOVE ALL IDOLS FROM OUR LIVE.

LET'S LET GO OF THINGS THAT SO ENSNARE US AND RECEIVE HIS BLESSINGS,

SOMETIMES THE THINGS WE HOLD ON TO MAY BE HARMLESS BUT STILL GOD HAS SOMETHING REALLY BETTER, IF HE'S ASKING TO LAY IT DOWN, IT'S ONLY TO FILL US WITH HIS ANOINTING, HIS PRESENCE AND ALL THE GIFTS HE HAS TO OFFER. LET'S NOT LET GO OF THESE RICH HEAVENLY BLESSINGS, HOLDING ON TO VAIN EARTHLY PLEASURES AND THINGS THAT KEEP US FROM DOING GOD'S WILL ON EARTH.

IT MAY BE PAINFUL TO LET SOMETHINGS GO AND LAY SOME STUFF DOWN. BUT WE NEED TO DO IT.

LETTING GO OF ALL THATS NOT OF GOD AND ALL THAT TAKES US AWAY FROM OUR LORD WILL MOVE US CLOSER TO OUR LORD..

Abba Father..

Just a closer walk with thee..

Is what we desire..

Burn away everything that's not of you....
