WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Keep praying! Prodigals will return!

God's Word says in..
πŸ“–Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."πŸ“–
Adrian Rogers writes,🌿 "Notice that the Lord doesn't tell us to teach a child, but instead, we are to train a child. That means we are to mold into shape by discipline and practice."🌿
πŸ‚πŸ§‘πŸOur little ones (even the babies)quickly grasp what they see and hear around them. As Parents we try our best to sow in good things in their hearts and minds.
πŸ‚πŸ§‘πŸ But as they grow older the enemy of their soul, may try hard to lead them away by his deceptive ways and false teachings.
Every second there is a battle for their souls. So we as parents need to be alert, watch and pray.
πŸ‚πŸ§‘πŸ The devil has just 1 goal, to steal, kill and destroy all that is good. He never plays fair, he is the master deceiver, he slyly sows seeds of doubt that make some question the truth!
πŸ‚πŸ§‘πŸ But when we have trained them to walk the right path, even if they wander away, they will know to find their way back but we will need to keep praying!
πŸ‚πŸ§‘πŸHowever far they may have gone they will come back, just keep praying...!
God is Faithful!

Lessons learnt during life's difficult paths..

Someone said: "The will of God will never take you, where the Grace of God will not protect you."
Life is a journey. It is not a walk on bed of roses but often we will walk through difficult paths.
We will be on mountain tops and sometime will walk down the valley.  Sometimes we will walk via beautiful Meadows and sometimes through the wilderness too.
Though we walk through small and difficult paths down the valley or in the wilderness, things sometimes may look blurred and we may seem clueless where we are going.
But during such times I have learnt to fix my eyes on my Lord Jesus and fear no evil and have felt God's rod and staff comfort me!
When we trust God and His Word during the most difficult time, He will be with us, comfort us, teach us, direct us, protect us.
So, I would like to encourage you, do not fear evil, do not be tired of the difficult valley walks, we need to just look around and see, the most refreshing streams, beautiful flowers,  greenery is found there and above all, the voice of our Lord is loud when you are down there as it echos!
And the lessons God teaches us down in the valley and the beauty seen there helps us in our mountain top walks with our Lord.
Lysa TerKeurst writes, "In the wilderness we can often: See His miracles more clearly. Feel His presence more intensely. Worship Him more authentically. Obey Him more sincerely."
When we endure our test and keep holding on, we will come out stronger, refined, more wiser and will have testimony of God's goodness and faithfulness!
We serve a faithful God!
He never left me for a second. Yes, there were times I thought God was nowhere around and wandered away, fell but when I called out to Him, He showed up as He was there watching my back.
He streched out His hands to rise up, steady my steps and helped me to walk on on this journey.
No matter what He was there, He has wiped my tears and silenced voices that discouraged me.
He has given family, loved ones and friends who loved me, trusted me, prayed for me and encouraged me.
In this life's journey i have meet different kinds of people. There were times I have been angry and upset with people who upset me. But slowly learnt, not to allow those who are rude, don't treat me right, ignore me, talk behind my back, steal my joy! Today I thank God they crossed my path as Gid used them to test my patience, my character and polish me!
God teaches to forgive people who hurt us, pray for those who mistreat us and not keep record of wrongs done not hold any hard feelings against them! It is hard, we need God's grace to do that. God gives us strength to forgive and ask forgiveness when we offend.
If I stand today it is all because of my Lord Jesus who never gave up on me.
I know He has good plans for me!
"God is the only one who can make the valley of trouble a door of hope."~writes Catherine Marshall. This is true! God will turn our mourning into dancing! (Psalm 30:11).
Isaiah 35:1, "The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;"
Finally, if I am still alive I believe God wants me to do His will.
People often ask me why I write what I write. Well, I write not because I am a great writer or what I have to say is very powerful, inspiring, encouraging or profound, but because I can't help but write about the ONE who changed my life at the age of 21.  His Name is Jesus Christ.  He is my Saviour and He sure is The ne I look up to and the most inspiring and encouraging Person I have ever known and His thoughts are so profound!
Been His follower ever since.
The journey continues...

The battle is not yours!

☘️ In midst of our warfare God prepares our deliverance!☘️
Even as battle goes on and we may not see what lies ahead, we can hold on to God's Promises and be still!
He is a Promise Keeper, Miracle Worker, Light in the darkness, as someone sang!
He'll stand by us(Ephesians 6:11).
He will hold us by our right hand and say, "Fear not, I will help you." (Isaiah 41:13)
He will fight our fights (Exodus 14:14).
He will never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).
He will give His angels charge over us (Psalm 91:11 ).
He will dry all our tears one day (Revelation 21:4).
One day He will lift our head high!
Blessed Weekend!

Eyes of your heart

Have you been able to see the pain in a person's heart?
Have there been times you were able to see things in your spirit when you prayed for someone who's miles and miles away?
Yes, God can show us things so that we are moved to pray or praise God for someone who is close by or far away.
Years back I happened to read a blog posted by a brother in Christ, Ken Jones.
It sure blessed me.
So often we judge people by what we see and hear.
Beyond flaws and failures there's a heart within that cares, that struggles to be set free, that needs love and prayers.
My spiritual eyes was enlightened after reading that.
Sometimes we let this spiritual eyes of the heart grow dull and insensitive.
Let's ask God to help us see people with our hearts eyes.
Let's look past their outward behaviour, their failures and see their love, their need for love, their struggles, pain, loneliness and love them like Jesus did.
May you be Blessed too!
Julia 🌺🌿

Where Are Your Eyes?
--------------------------------
Ken Jones
3/15/08
Ephesians 1:18 "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you."

I love music, I like walking through Wal-Mart’s music section looking at the CD’s. There is a young man who works in that section, I will leave his name out, but he has Down syndrome. This young man is filled with joy one day I was leaving the parking lot, he was waiting for the bus, he had his headphones on, and he was dancing and singing at the top of his lungs. I witnessed pure joy from this fellow. When I walk through his section, he comes over to me and always says; hey big guy, do you need some help.
I do notice some people ignore him; maybe they are looking at him with the eyes in their head.
I see him with the eyes in my heart.
How many people do we know that we listen to and see the words and actions they are using and only see through the eyes and ears in our heads?
Paul says we have eyes in our hearts. What a beautiful way of expressing love, to actually use them. We can use the eyes in our hearts to see what people are really saying, what they are really experiencing, what they are really going through. Do we look for their pain, their joy, and their love?
I have been blessed with so many people in my life who have seen me with the eyes in their hearts. They ask how I am doing, I say; fine.
These people that see with the eyes of their hearts say; you don’t look fine, would you like to talk about it?
These people have seen me over the phone, internet, in person and through the mail. It is no coincidence that they encourage me or say just the right thing at the right time.
They see what I need close up and long distance, because they are using the eyes in their hearts.
What do we see when we look at the homeless, the people sleeping in bus and train stations, alcoholics, drug addicts, porn addicts, people who brag, gossip, complain, whine, yell, overly dependent, use foul language, tell dirty jokes, we can add to this list.
Do we simply get annoyed, stiffen our necks and say humph, or do we see them through the eyes in our hearts. Do we see them as children of God crying out for love or attention? Do we see them, not the visual but who they really are? They weren’t children who said when I grow up this is what I want to be. Do we see them with the eyes in our hearts?
Paul prayed for the people of Ephesus, for the eyes of their hearts to be enlightened, to look at things differently, lovingly, spiritually and the way God sees things.
To spend time, to stop, look, listen, and feel what people are saying and doing.
Who are they?
I don’t mean their names or what they do; I mean who they really are. We find this out by looking at them with the eyes in our hearts. We find out what people are going through, if we know, we may even be able to get rid of some old resentments if we look at them through our heart’s eyes.
Today I challenge you and I challenge me, to pay closer attention to our biological family, husbands, wives, church family, neighbors, friends and everyone through the eyes of our hearts. My guess our lives will be enriched for it. You can also use these eyes to read God’s Word in the Bible. Paul is praying for each of us too in Ephesians 1:18.
God Bless
Ken Jones

You can do it!

🌺🌿How often we see the mountain in front of us and want to call it quits.
🌺🌿But we are standing here facing this mountain because God thinks we can overcome, we can climb it or speak to our mountain and see it moved!
🌺🌿It is easy to call it quits but takes courage to persevere, press on, move forward and overcome.
🌺🌿Let us step into this new day in faith that we will overcome our battles, our challenges, our pain, our struggles and come forth victorious.
Have a blessed day,

Prayer changes things!

🌷So often we are faced with situations that are too difficult, problems with no answers, hearts that are too hard, people who are too rebellious to give up harmful habits and addiction and those that too stubborn that they will not listen to good advice or instruction and refuse to be disciplined and some who talk back rudely when we reach out in concern.
🌷What do we do then?
Time to look up to God or bow before His Holy presence and carry these souls before God in prayer.
Someone wrote:
🌺"People may refuse our love, our good advice, reject our message, but they are defenseless against our prayers."
SO LETS PRAY!
🌷In this world we will have to face tough situations but we need to pray and God will help us overcome!
🌷In the last days we will confront difficult people but need to pray them through!
🌿🌺 2 Timothy 3:1 "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—.."
🌷Prayers will change situations, soften hard-hearts, quieten the restless and break stubborn habits!
Time to look to God!
Pray!

Shooting prayers

🌿🌸So many people pass by us daily, as we walk the street, shop and others we rub shoulders with when we travel by bus/train. We sure can whisper a prayer for the one who sits, walks, stands close to us.
We may not know his/her name, Jesus does and He moves.
One day in eternity we will know the answers to these quick, shooting prayers. What a joy to hear our Lord say, "He's here, this one was healed and that one missed an accident because you prayed". 🌸🌿
Keep praying!

Pearly Gates

Waiting to walk through those pearly gates..:)
The real gates of Heaven will sure be sure more awesome & majestic than this picture that is just the imagination of a painter!
πŸŒΊπŸŒΏ3 Revelation 21:21 "The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass."
Abba Father..
Forgive me for the times I have been quick to hate, judge, assume, presume and have told others their worth.
Give me a heart like Yours to love unconditionally and watch my words and thoughts at all times.
May I be a Kingdom builder and may You increase and I decrease.
May I live to please You so that one day I can enter through the pearly gates of Heaven.
May I spend more time in Your presence and know You better every day!
All I have to give up on earth is nothing compared to what I'll inherit in Heaven.
Walking with You is more precious, beautiful and valuable than all the treasures and pleasures this world offers
In Your Son Jesus Christ's precious Name,
Amen

Something thought provoking I read...(see below) πŸ‘‡
Be blessed..

✨We All Have A Purpose✨
******************************
By: CHRISTINE

"We all have some kind of purpose on this earth, It's not to hurt people or tell them their worth. Everyone was put here with an equal chance,
Take a look around you, take a good long glance. Some were meant to heal, and some to teach, Some are used to build, and some to reach.
You may not know your purpose just yet, God will tell you, when he knows you are set. Don't rush your fate, it has already been planned. And God will always be there to lend a helping hand. You will go through times that are really rough, But you will always have someone, when the going gets tough.
Don't judge others, for when you do, There is always someone else, judging you.
Think about things before they are said,
Say your prayers before going off to bed.
Take time just to sit, and observe all things, A flower and it's petals, or a bird and it's wings.
For when you just look at what is around, A new aspect on life could be what you have found.
Live for today, live one day at a time. Live for God and serve others!"

Do not quit!

Is the road bumpy?
 Don't stop...
Can't see what lies ahead?
God will make a way, where there seems to be no way....
Is the Night dark(it's meant to be so)?
Don't quit...Light will break forth soon...
Has the wait been long?
Hold on...your answer is on the way...
God is watching, our God is faithful and He is a God of surprises.
Many battles are lost at the discouragement and disappointment.
~The Payment due may be on it's way.
~The apology may be in the making,
~The healing will come,
~Restoration on the way,
~The job contract getting ready,
So...don't quit.
Remember..."QUITTERS NEVER WIN AND WINNERS NEVER QUIT."
πŸ΅πŸƒISAIAH 40: 31.."but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,  they will walk and not be faint."
Hold on and don't give up.

Power of worda.

❤️ Proverbs 16:24 Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.❤️
🌿🌺Just came across this poem (see below) and realized how important it is to speak the right, encouraging words especially when someone's really hurting.
🌿🌺Words of Hope can be so..uplifting to someone in the verge of quitting.
🌿🌺How often we pass by people who hurt & we don't seem to care.
🌿🌺I pray the Lord will use each of us to pray for the sick, struggling, for those who have lost jobs, feeling weak and encourage a hurting heart.
🌿🌺I pray He'll give us the right words to say.
🌿🌺I pray God will help us stop by & stretch out a hand to lift someone who's feeling tired & weak physically and spiritually, pray for someone who is hopeless. .
🌿🌺It's when one's down the valley and hurting one wishes to see their fellow brothers, sisters & friends & loved ones around.
🌿🌺And it's in times like these God makes His Presence felt in a powerful way too!
HE understands for He too was rejected by whom He thought were HIS own, He went through physical pain and so knows when we go through that.
🌿🌺 A wrong word said can discourage and pain the already hurting. That's why God's word says,
♥♪♥Proverbs 12:18 "Reckless words pierce like a sword..!"
Have a blessed day
Julia🌸🌿

✿♡❤THE RIGHT WORDS❤♡✿
~Author Unknown~
Lord, give me the right words to say
To broken hearts that come my way
To those who have been hurt before
That, I not hurt them any more
To those whose hearts have hardened up
To those who won't hold out their cup
That, Lord, You long to overflow
With love and mercy. Lord, let me know

That I might have the words to say
That I might plant a seed today
That glory would be given to You
Through all I say and all I do

Lord, give me the right words to say
More hearts are breaking every day
They're out there crying in the night
I long to help them see the light
But, fragile are those souls and weak
So this is why Your words I seek
And pray Thee give me words to say
That I, not one soul, turn away.

Angels watch over our little children..

🌾🌸Children are a gift...from God...
🌾🌸He entrusted them to us....
🌾🌸There are angels assigned to watch over little children.
πŸ¦‹Matthew 18: 10 "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."πŸ¦‹
🌾🌸And these angels always watch the Father's face. So we need to value our kids, each of them are special in God's eyes.
🌾🌸Let kids not be aborted or ignored.
🌾🌸Let kids not be abused or looked down on.
🌾🌸God cares for a child, right when it's formed in the mothers womb.
🌾🌸So they are precious!
Be blessed..

Hold on and do not give up..

☘️Sometimes we think that believing in God will shield us from calamity, loss, pain and when we go thro' such times we question God's goodness, His justice and cry out to God like David, "For You are the God of my strength, why have You rejected me? Why have you forgotten me?"(Psalm 43:2/Psalm 42:9).
πŸ€But though David's soul was in despair and he was disturbed, he chose to hope in God! He knew God will lift him up!
πŸ€When Job lost everything dear to him and was brought to the ground, he did not curse God.
Someone said,"When we have nothing left but God, God is more than enough!"
πŸ€Job and David knew their God will not test them beyond what they could bear.
πŸ€What would we do when and where would we stand if everything that we held on to was slowly taken away?
πŸ€Would we still praise God? Be joyful? Be at peace?
πŸ€Let us choose to trust God thro' the most difficult times, in the darkness so that we can rejoice at the victory the dawn will bring!
Hold on ....

Give Hope, Be kind

This is a new day and it comes loaded with hope!
I know that we all face challenges in life. They are real, often times difficult and tiresome. They can sap us of our strength when we let them consume us.
Let us speak kind and encouraging words to the hurting. Let us give hope to thw hopeless.
Time and seasons do and will change!
Just need to hold on in faith!
Passing through a difficult season?
May our Lord give you the grace, not give up but persevere and praise Him through your trials and lamentations.
It happens in the Psalms all the time.
It happened with Job, and with Paul!
Better things are yet to come!
Have a blessed day!
🌿🌺 Isaiah 61:7 "Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs."🌿🌺

Family that prays together

"Praying together with your spouse on a consistent basis will accomplish more for your marriage than any other one thing you can get from all your sessions of counseling."~Ed

Hi...
It's said."A family that prays together stays together."
And where there is no prayer there sure is strife, disunity, disharmony!
🌿🌺 James 5:16 that we are to "pray for each other so that you may be healed."
☘️As life gets busy, it's sad to see quality family devotional time not being a priority anymore. Sometimes one finds easy to pray with a friend or take part in prayer meetings but does not know that prayer ministry begins in the secret place and then with the family.
☘️ A child's greatest need: Praying parents.
Time to get back to family prayer times.
☘️Is Prayer important to our relationship with our spouse and kids or is prayer is just a formality?
☘️Praying with our loved one should never be taken lightly. When we pray with our spouse and kids, it's good to sit down together, hold hands and seriously pray.
☘️But it is sad prayer is no longer a priority but an option.
🌿🌺Matthew 18: 18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[b] loosed in heaven. 19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
☘️We need to cover our kids with prayers regularly, intensely and whenever God brings our child to mind, may be our child is facing a difficult situation at that moment.
Be blessed..
Julia 🌿

How important is prayer for families?

How important is prayer for families?
Some one wrote...
"Prayer for families is the very foundation that keeps a family unit together."
Have you heard the phrase "A family that prays together stays together"?
Again I Quote:
"The concept is true - a family that has their focus on praying to the Lord Jesus Christ has a foundation that may be shaken at times, but it will withstand all that comes against them."
☘️May our 1st priority be God and our time with Him.
☘️Next is Family and time with family, building  each other with prayer and love.
☘️3rd has to be Ministry/Business and other things.
When priorities are misplaced it is the family unit that falls apart.
πŸ™ Let us strengthen our personal prayer time and prayer alters at home, take time to pray together as a family before we pray with others and for others.
πŸ™ Let us pray for families and relationships strained within walls of the home due to lack of prayer, love and understanding.
πŸ™Let's thank God for our families this day and pray a hedge of protection around our families.
πŸ™So many marriages are in trouble, divorce among Christians on the rise.
There are people we know who's hearts are breaking, who are stressed out and on the verge of giving up, let us pray for them.
Have we neglected family prayers?
Time to get back to it...
Be blessed,
Julia 🌺🌿

Eventually God will reveal

Goodmorning ☀
🍁If God is the One who is leading us, why worry when our path has thorns and stones. He sure did not say life will be trial free.
🍁Someday He will reveal to us the purpose of our pain and trials.
🍁Till then we have to hold His hands and follow Him.
Jesus Christ knows what He is doing and He has good plans for us.
🍁He will one day deliver us from all our troubles(Psalm 34:19)

πŸ€March ends and we step into April. You may not know what lies ahead but the One who holds your future will guide you with His hands.
