Hi ..
Greetings from India....
When our Lord Jesus Christ comes, the spirit, soul and body has to be kept blameless, so God's in the process of refining His Church and individuals.
1THESSALONIANS 5: 23May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 PETER 4 :17For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? This judgement is God's refining judgement...
Removing the chaff from the wheat..
An act of discipline because He wants to present our spirit, soul and body blameless at His Son's coming.
So let's not take God's discipline lightly.
God sanctifying our SPIRIT, SOUL & BODY shows, God is concerned about our BODY too..That's why we need to break free of addictions that are "injurious to health" because THE BODY is the TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
God is an All consuming fire.
Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Abba Father is an all consuming fire and will not allow anything to stand in your way that is between you and HIM!!
He can't tolerate sin in our lives our in our midst.
Cleansing begins from God's Sanctuary....
Read this passage below carefully.....
EZEKIEL 9: 3-7, 3 Now the glory of the God of Israel went up from above the cherubim, where it had been, and moved to the threshold of the temple. Then the LORD called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side 4 and said to him, "Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it." 5 As I listened, he said to the others, "Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion. 6 Slaughter old men, young men and maidens, women and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary." So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple.
7 Then he said to them, "Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go!" So they went out and began killing throughout the city.
Here we see the Glory of God went from the Cherub (singular for Cherubim) on which it had been to the threshold of the temple.
Cherubims are angels always associated with the Glory of God. They are associated with with God's perfection and Holiness.
God had placed Cherubims at the entrance of Eden
to keep Adam and Eve out(Genesis 3:24)
But God always remembers to protect His people during the refining process..
REVELATION 7:3 "Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." So when God tells us to get rid of sin that so...ensnares our spirit, soul or body, we need to be willing to let go.
If we resist HIS warning we will be disciplined as a Father disciplines his children...
HEBREWS 12:5And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." He is a refiner's fire.
Malachi 3:2 "......For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap." Discipline may not be pleasant, it may be painful, but it will bear good fruits.
HEBREWS 12:11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. But a person who has known the truth still chooses to deliberately live in sin has no hope.
HEBREWS 10:26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know him who said, "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," and again, "The Lord will judge his people." 31It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Let's heed God's warning again in
Hebrews 6: 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. This is not a time to compromise and play with sin saying.."O well everyone are doing it..so what's the problem?"
Let's be willing to let go of all that displeases God, accept His correction and be refined.
2 Corinthians 7:1, "Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God."
Our Lord is requiring a higher level of commitment and holiness from us. He says in His Word, He's coming back for a spotless and blameless bride (that's us, His people!).
" FOR HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD TO BE HOLY & BLAMELESS IN HIS SIGHT" Ephesians 1:4 Be Blessed,

2 Chronicles 29:5: “Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the LORD, the God of your ancestors. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.
